I weighed less than you at one point. (6'3 to 6'4 and only 125lbs)

Doing a moderate 15-minute arms and legs workout each day at the gym put 25lbs on me in just a few months.

If worse comes to worse your doctor can probably prescribe a medication for weight gain. I don't remember the name of any off hand, but there are plenty out there.

Medication for weight gain ? I wouldn't think it that serious of a problem to need medication. There are plenty of weight gain powders and drinks out there, for example try walking in a GNC. Besides hitting the weights, increasing the protein, and time for your body to adjust and increase in size, there really isn't a get big quick formula. One of my buddys was 6'4 roughly and very skinny, now hes huge. I asked him how he did it, and basically the three things I just listed.

cooperd1 - damn. i'd be worried to. i'd recommend the all fried chicken and poutine diet. lots and lots of poutine. if it worked for marlon brando, it can work for you. wash it down with a couple of whoppers and two pints of yoohoo. pork rinds for breakfast. popopopo check yer mail.

i drink protein shakes every day and i also lift 4 days a week and i have gained 50 pounds doing that...

protein puts it on, buts its not that healthy. the average american male eats more protein than he needs anyhow. im not saying dont drink the protein shakes, but four shakes a day . . . just isn't healthy. try drinking one a day and increase you carbs. Starches and carbs give you energy to workout and add some weight. (not as much as mass proteins but it is much more healthy)

im not as tall as you, and i weight a bit more, but recently I had no muscle issues... i am still very lean but by increasing protein a little bit and increasing carbs a lot, i had the energy to workout enough to get a little cut.

i think you should examin your diet...

just beef it up a bit- more more more....

I have always been skinny- and i think it has a lot to do with lack of apitite... I get working on something, or interested in something, and i forget to eat all day, happens all the time.

eggs, soymilk, noodles, breads... get more proteen and more carbs, combined, they will result in more "weight" on you...

i had the weight problem and the reason was not much hunger for food. hell food stills turns me off. frankly western food is a little messed up. too much of processed food. eating it in large quantity in short period of time is a invitation for heart problem and other screwed up problems. here is what i have done and found it to be really worked for me.

I was sharing a house with a punjabi friend who made pita out of wheat (well its called roti) and always ate a little bit more than i actually needed to. and ate whatever came my way. but i stayed away from fast food. lots or rice, salad and meat. and finally i am now 140 pounds from 115lb.

Just eat everything but fast food and always eat a little bit more than the hunger and eat on time.

The way i understand this problem is that u need to keep pushing your stomach a little bit every day. someone once told me that size of my stomach is not big enough to carry the food at one time. with small extra dosages you expand the stomach a little bit or make him to habitual of more food. also dont eat any junk when its time to eat. no candy or stuff like that. and eat food which get digested easily. remember your problem is not diet but the hunger. so find your own way in which you get more hunger. wine and drinks screw up your diets so stay away from them as a regular drinking habit. and dont go nuts on excercise. just do enough that makes you active and keeps your body active.

but if you one of those unfortunates who can keep on eating and nothing goes on the body then dude workout is your only solution. get that muscle mass increasing so more fat is needed and body demands more energy which results in more hunger.

just eat healthy, and eat a lot, and exercise a lot, since your skinny you want to eat til your over satisfied to put on the weight. You can take a medium duty (5000 i think) weight gainer or meal replacement, that will start pumping calories, carbs and proteins into your diet
