Last I read was Odd Thomas too. Before I read that one I had started another and didn't get too far, but I can't remember which book it was now.

I like the chris snow ones (Sieze the night and I can't remember the title of the other right now). I read Velocity most recently. I wasn't thrilled, but it is a fast paced book.

He has a new book out with the Odd Thomas character. Have to get that when it comes out in paperback, even though the first one had a sad ending

Re: Dean Koontz

About 15 or so years ago I read 4 or 5 of his books (I recall "Whispers", "Midnight", "Shattered", "Night Chills"...I think...). The first couple were amazing but I struggled to finish the last ones, they got stale and a bit formulaic. At the time I was really into Stephen King, so I was probably unfairly comparing the two.

Anything recent that really stands out?

Re: Dean Koontz

Intensity has to be my all time favourite best read, the film was great, but the book was a turly thrilling read.

I'm sure there's a bit of Edgler Vess in all of us!
