Freaking Vista and Office 2007 BS!!
I've had it with this Vista bullshit. I can't find a damn thing or get anything accomplished with this Vista bullshit. Generally, I'm open to new things, but this is driving me nuts. Is there a way to make Vista appear like Windows XP??
Also, the 2007 version of Office is driving me nuts. Nothing is where it used to be. Hell, I can't even type and save a simple document. I HATE THIS NEW CRAP!! Can I make 2007 go retro and make me think I'm back in '03??
My old laptop (with XP and Office 2003) died about two months ago; I am beside myself about the loss. I'm not doing well with the new technology.
Other than getting my old programs, what can be done to help with my transition??
Please, Jesus H. Christ on a bamboo raft, someone toss me a bone....

Re: Freaking Vista and Office 2007 BS!!
OK....I too switched to Vista recently and had the same learning curve for about 1 month...but now I actually like it....so you too will get there...resist the temptation to go back :-)
Regarding office 2007, the learning curve is much more steep and I did succumb for a short cut - google "classic menu for office 2007" . its a piece of s/w that sits on top of office 2007 and brings back most of familiar menus. I have it and can upload it up in case u can't find it

DDGuy: was the program you found free, or was it for purchase?? So far, most of my searches point me to a product from AddinTools. I found this product and several others for purchase; each of these appear to fix my problem.
Have you found this plug in to be worth the extra effort??

Re: Freaking Vista and Office 2007 BS!!
Thank you very much!
Got this one, too!
I am having tremendous difficulty installing and getting these items to work. Vista and I do not agree on how/where these programs should go.
Can ANYONE give me step-by-step instructions on where to place these programs and how to make the classic menu intergrate with Word 2007? I've tried making this happen on my own, and nothing is working.
HELP!!
