Unemployment is not as bad? But I thought war was good for the economy, so it shouldn't be bad at all. Housing/oil crisis, well, with all the good the war is doing for the economy, we should all be buying more and more properties!
Get my drift there, mang?

Re: This is BS
What he said was that the housing/oil crisis was unrelated to the war, and it is unrelated to the war - it would have happened anyway because housing was going up up up for too long to not have to take a dip sometime. Now is that time.
Futhermore, were we not in a war, unemployment would indeed be far worse than it is now, but as it is, it is in a downturn also due to cyclic trends, not due to the war.
Finally, all this negative attention we want to give the war for impacting our national debt really is disproportionate, when the war impacts that debt so much less than all the social & entitlement (Welfare, MediCare, Medicaid, etc) programs in place that are really tapping out our resources.
Sure the war is a bad thing & yeah it is costing some money - But it is not the biggest drain on our economy nor is it even primarily to blame for our current economic state.
Get MY drift mang???

Re: This is BS
sure.
billions upon billions.
And even at that, the DoD is running well within budget, for the most part...the only time it isn't is when you hear about a random appropriations bill or whatnot being heard on the senate floor, which happens far less often than you probably think.
The govt spends billions & billions all the fucking time & on a lot of things besides a war.
Spare me the bleeding heart bullshit & start addressing all the places we are wasting, and have wasted, our taxpayer dollars besides on your "hot button issue". The war spending is only the tip of the iceberg.

Re: This is BS
Back to the no fly list rant. Turns out all you have to do is buy an online ticket under a false name, save as a PDF, Print it once with the false name. Then change the name with Adobe to your real name and print that one too. Show the one where they check ID to the security guard and give the fake name one to flight attendant.
This also would work to get several people pass the guard to see you off.
see this link: http://www.schneier.com/blog/archiv...e_your_own.html
for details.
According to him, the id check was to prevent people from giving non-transferable tickets to friends.
