Re: John Force on Brett Favre
He (Brett) must want to play rrrrrreally bad. He does'nt seem to care about the money. I heard Green Bay offered him 20 Mil over 10 years just to stay home. I don't understand it, he won't make that ($$$) playing for the Jets & it will take a lot more than a good QB to turn that team around. He could have took the 20 mil from Green Bay & left Pro-Football as the hero of Green Bay & entered the "Hall of Fame" with the team he broke most of the records with. The Jets will go at best 8 in 8.....maybe 9 in 7 with a lot of luck. Plus he could get hurt. WTF....I just don't understand!!!!!

He will still enter the hall as a Green Bay Packer.

Also, he still has quite a bit of endorsements. He just made 200 grand just to be on the cover of Madden.

Did'nt know the Jets were paying Brett 12 mil a year.....daaaaamn!! Still, the Jets don't have the offensive line Green Bay had, so look for lots of interceptions or he'll be laying on his backside! Either way, he's screwed. I wish him luck, just think it would have been better for Pro-Football for him to have taken Green Bays offer & stay home. I still remember him crying about retiring, he should have left it there! HE made the choice to retire & Green Bay did'nt force him out after last season.

Still, it should be fun to watch.

Re: John Force on Brett Favre
The funniest part is, everyone calling him a whiny bitch is whining about him coming back. Honestly, I don't see how he is a whiny bitch. I mean, any person in the world, including people here, would do exactly the same thing if they loved it as much as he does.

Look, I understand that it is hard for athletes to hang it up. I mean this has been their entire life. After it's over what do you do? There is only so much golf out their and I know they feel like they lost the most important thing in their life.
But Brett could of handled all this better. He held Green Bay hostage two seasons ago with his indecision. Then he retires right after the end of last season. Why not wait. You have plenty of time to make sure that's the direction you want to go.
It was unfair to the Packers players (mainly Rodgers), coaching staff, front office and of course the fans.
Brett Favre is not bigger than the game. He's not even bigger than the franchise. You are a professional. Act like it.

I can agree with that. The problem in Favre's case is that, like I said, he has both pressure from his wife to retire, and from his fans to stay in. He wants to stay in, but his wife is always on his ass asking him to retire. He respects what she's saying, and does a lot of thinking about it, and then follows through, but when all is said and done, he just can't follow through with it.
Sure, he should handle things differently, but Favre is and always will be one of the best quarterbacks the league has ever seen, and he knows it, and that's a lot to carry. He has battle alcoholism, depression, and other ailments. Sure, buck up or head out, but you can't execute a man for not wanting to quit what he loves, ya know?
Although, as I'm arguing a point, I am coming to realize that I wish the guy would just make up his mind.

Re: John Force on Brett Favre
The Pack wanted his decision quickly this time, which is why he gave it when he did. They needed to know whether or not they could "move forward." What a bunch of crap. You can't tell me that they couldn't have fit Brett Favre into the offense in September much less in April. He's fucking Brett Favre. He's earned the right to hold a team hostage, and the Pack was/is, in my opinion, stupidly banking on Aaron Rogers.
