Feeling down, but feeling kinda up

I'm not happy with this week. Friday morning, I leave to return my six year old son to his mother from our summer visit. I live in SC and she lives near Detroit, MI. He's been with me since just before Fathers Day. We've had a blast fishing, swimming, camping, cooking, and playing games. It's been a great summer.

It's very hard when our visits come to an end.

Awhile back, I started a thread about applying for some new jobs; so far, I've been through one interview. Today, I received a phone call and will have a second interview at 8AM Friday morning!

Wow! Interview, pack and leave! On one hand, I'm bummed out; on the other hand, I'm pumped up! These opposing feelings are rather strange.

Yeah, I'll see him again; he'll be back here for two weeks at Christmas. I'll see him in MI in late September and just before Thanksgiving. It gets expensive spending 3-4 days at a time up there, but he's worth every penny. We have had a great time this summer; I'm definitely happy about that.

Juan, I'm cashing in the 401K and going back into stripping to come up with the cash....

Yeah, Detroit has its problems. Fortunately, he lives about 30 miles southwest in a small town. It was tough seeing him go, but we had one heck of a great time. As a going away present, I got us webcams so we can talk and see one another.
