"I don't care if they're black, white, purple or green. Awww hold on now. Purple or green? You gotta draw the line somewhere. To hell with purple people. Unless they're suffocating. Then help them."
Obscure references FTL...
As I would say "haha...good times".
Bill's one of your fellow Kanucks, an immigrant from Germany. He is the originator of the "Wet on Wet" painting system. Bob started as a Alexander instructor and his first shows used their products. He eventually came out with his own products as his show became popular. As quiet and soft spoken Bob was, Bill was the direct opposite. I was into it as a hobby back in the 80's.
Quote:
Bill Alexander began painting professionally in his teens ....in his native Germany. After the Second World War, Bill emigrated to Canada where, after making a living as a printer and baker among other things..... Frustrated by the waiting involved with traditional oils, he developed a special canvas preparation he called Magic White, and extra-thick paints which he applied with a specially designed palette knife and brushes. Now he could “fire in” and create a powerful painting in one sitting. The Alexander Wet-on-Wet Technique was born. In 1974, Bill brought the magic of his technique to television and was an instant success, winning an Emmy.
