I was sure...
this idea of body disposal after commission of homicide would work. Apparently, I was wrong. How could they have known? Evidence of recent excavation in the yard?? Homicide assistant rat him out?
Is it next to impossible to commit this type of crime and escape?
WARREN, R.I. — Police found the bodies of a missing Rhode Island couple Saturday in the septic tank in their yard.
James A. Soares Sr., 60 and Marian F. Soares, 53, were last been seen at the beginning of the month. They were reported missing by family members July 15 after they missed a family reunion.
Police went to the couple's house in Warren and excavated the yard with a backhoe.
They removed two body bags with their remains, along with several bags of dirt. Police declined to comment on the condition of the bodies.
Rhode Island state police told MyFOXProvidence.com they’ve taken a family member into custody, but no formal charges have been filed.
Now, I have to rethink everything...

Re: I was sure...
The fact is, evidence was left, the bodies. How they found them is open to speculation, but perhaps there were clues some digging had gone on. So, the authorities investigated this aspect. Need more information!

Re: I was sure...
my guess would be, with the thought of evidence of digging, there was probably fresh turned soil where the septic tank is. Can't exactly flush a person down the toilet like you can a goldfish, so the person would have to open up the septic tank, which is underground.

Re: I was sure...
Maybe one day I'll devote some time to thinking about performing such as task with the goal of eluding forensic detection of evidence at the crime scene and placement of the bodies where they would not be detected........
If I come up with such a plan, I'll run it by folks here.

Bricktop in the movie Snatch explains how to dispose of a body quite eloquently in one of my favorite monologues ever.

And when you got your six pieces, you gotta get rid of them, because it's no good leaving it in the deep freeze for your mum to discover, now is it? Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You got to starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped-up body will look like curry to a pisshead. You gotta shave the heads of your victims, and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies' digestion. You could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sievin' through pig shit, now do you? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig".

Don't you people watch CSI? It's impossible to get away with anything these days. The cops are just too good.

You just need some high dollar Lawyers paying off the right experts and a judge that doesn't allow most of the evidence to be shown to the jury. Ask OJ.

My dad had many roles when he was a cop; he spent many years working in what is now called CSI.
How will that help ME? I have all his forensic investigation manuals! HAHAHAHAHA!!

Re: I was sure...
One guy in northern transvaal (north SA) decided that his farm helper was just an annoyance so he fed him to the lions in the Canned Hunting cages
for some reason the lions didnt eat all of him and the next customer saw the body and reported it to the cops
the farm boss tryed to say he was a border jumper from Zimbabwe and he knew nothing about it
but when they found a .357 round in his brain they concluded this was no accident.
so lesson here is dont feed people to lions
