I downloaded Firefox 3 a while ago shortly after it came out. Now, when I go to download something other the porn, like an anti-spyware program, it cuts off the download window half way so I can't press the download button? Has anyone ever heard of this happening? Is it possible that I have a virus? I have a one year old Toshiba laptop with Windows Vista Premium, and I am running NOD32 anti-virus. Anti-virus says I'm clean, and I regularly run registry cleaner as well.

Also, as a separate issue, or maybe it's related--my speakers on the laptop make a slight popping noise from time to time. I still have full sound, volume control etc, but it's a little weird. What could this possibly be? Could my sound card be going bad? Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.

I ran into a problem like that awhile back and found out it was spyware that my regular scanners weren't picking up. You can always try a different scanner like stopzilla. Also have you tried to expand the window by taking your cursor to the corner of it? Your sound card making the popping sound could be a driver issue, something in the earphone jack making contact or loose contact inside the card itself.

Yeah I tried moving the cursor, no dice, and I just may have to actually buy anti-spyware. Every copy I seem to get from a torrent site ends up not able to be updated. I really don't like to buy stuff that should be, or can be free, but I just might have to this time. Thanks for the help.
