Granted I am biased because I love the sport of surfing, but this is a living legend on the same level as Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan are in their sports.

I included the stat that Slater has a 75.21% Win Ratio. Meaning that for the last 14 years of his competitive pro career, 3/4 of the time, he will win. Tiger's win ratio is close to that as well.

The sheer athleticism involved in this sport is unprecedented. For someone to win ONE world title is amazing. There are a few that have won three. Fucking Slater is gearing up to win his NINTH WCT title, has broken nearly EVERY record in competitive surfing (many of them more than once) and continues schooling surfers in their prime who were in diapers when he started his Pro career (Jordy Smith and Jeremy Flores just turned 20, compared to Slater's 36).

Disinterested in the sport of surfing? Cool. I can understand that (I think all the NASCAR and other sports outside of college football are rather boring). So I can grant disinterest.

But "Yawn"? I don't fucking think so. I also doubt anyone saying "yawn" has actually watched a competitive surfing event. So to that I have to say, "suck my dick and fuck your mother"

Slater is an amazing contest surfer. His style isn't really interesting or anything, but its just like he gets in a contest and just strings everything together, in perfect form. I wish I was as good as him...

I was recently in the outer banks, epic groundswell rolled in from Hurricane Bertha.

It was like shoulder-2footOH, sheet glass.

I had a blast, but my board self destructed. The fiberglass came almost entirely off the bottom (like 3/4's of the bottom is just foam). My board is being held together by duct tape while I order another custom. :(

He is one of the greatest athletes of our time. And keep in mind he is 36... anyone that knows a little bit about any sport can admire the fact that Kelly can beat anyone at age 36
