$2.4 million was the dollar value of U.S. flags exported in 2007. Mexico was the leading customer, purchasing $1.2 million worth. Of those sold to Mexico, most cross back across the boarder shortly after being sold there.
Philadelphia was the second capitol of the US. Will Smith shortly there after moved to California to be the prince of Bel-Air.

Your answer for #1 appears to be incorrect.

Maybe the 1.2 million figure for 1776 was only counting white folk.
I would have guessed (based on mindset of the era) that they only counted white males of voting age since they were the only ones that mattered (back then).
