but compare eli to favre?? There is very little comparision. Favre will go down as one of the greats ever. Eli. Maybe no so much, but he still has lots of time.


Anyhow this favre fiasco is kinda rough too. Granted he shouldn't have retired then changed his mind.. And yes. as soon as he retired the management HAS to move on.. but now that he wants back, now welcome him back into the fold and let him compete for the job again. Favre only makes the Packers better. Right now i'm more ticked at Ted Thompson more than Favre changing his mind.


And yes.. the amount of media this is getting is kinda rediclous..

Is Ted Thompson the poor sap charged with the chore of flying down to 'Ole Miss in an attempt to change Brett's mind on coming to training camp? If so, he can't win. And yes, neither will the Pack in this case. Damned if they do, and damned if they dont.

BTW..it's not that he retired and changed his mind that pisses me off. It's just that he does on a yearly basis that frosts my balls.

Look, Favre has had a great career. He wanted to come back to the 'Pack, but they said he wouldn't start. Is that wrong? No, he wanted retirement, he retired. It's time to move on.

Well, I guess he's going to be back at training camp monday.. IMO this is great! Even if he isn't the starter this team will be better with him than without. If you've followed football,or the Packers, you know Aaron Rodgers has gotten hurt each of the last 3 seasons, and he wasn't the starter. So keeping Favre around will be better because of past history of Rodgers durability.

Anyhow I'm glad. I think im going to a preseason game this year, so i will still get a chance to see Favre. (i can't afford the regular season ticket prices)
