It's quite obvious that he was speaking about Obama, you'd have to be pretty oblivious not to notice. For well over 60, count them, 60 fucking years, there has been sort of an unspoken rule that the President has followed when leaving the country about not talking politics, or even worse, what amounts to talking shit about the opposing sides candidate. Leave it to Bush for fucking yet another thing up though. Obama and the Dems are simply calling out Bush and McCain on their lies, and creative ways of telling the "truth."

I think it goes to say without question, that every politician is going to do whatever it takes to help Israel, and help promote a Palestinian state as well. Obama is no different in this regard, so anything you may have heard is again the Republicans trying to paint Obama as naive. It has since been uncovered that McCain, although speaking very differently now, was completely in favor of talking with known terrorists, only a year ago. The era of "cowboy diplomacy" and GWB's reign are coming to an end, and simply talking with our enemies isn't going to hurt, and may prevent a devastating war with Iran. Talking with our enemies was a large part of our victory in the Cold war, and fifty years without engaging in total planet devastation is pretty good proof that diplomacy is worth the effort.

Iran, although a threat, isn't quite as dangerous as the Republicans would lead us to believe. While true that the older, religious establishment, and the President, are very dangerous, the overwhelming majority of the country is very pro-western and also very young. If McCain is elected, and I surely hope he isn't, then war with Iran is right around the corner, and will completely decimate our military. And by decimate I don't mean we as a country will be attacked, or that our military will be obliterated. What I do mean is that our troops, equipment, and country just aren't up to the task.

Let's not forget that we made Iran into what it is today, by helping to overthrow the government, and meddling with it's affairs. We further helped Iran become the dominant power within the Middle East be knocking off it's long-time rival to the West. We effectively turned Bruce Banner into the Incredible Hulk.

Joe, I was surprised at how open you are to Obama, I think you need to not subscribe to all the petty non-sense that goes on in politics and focus on the substantive issues--then I think Obama will make even more sense to you. And Jesus, why are you so anti-Obama? Are you seriously considering voting for McCain? I think I respect you the most out of almost all the people on this board, but voting for him would be a mark against you in my book--sorry. Hopefully as the election season gets into full swing, more people will be exposed to what a breath of fresh air, Obama really is.

This thread got a little off track, but the video is outrageous. As I originally stated, I wish more pundits were called out on the bullshit they try and peddle as truth. The only newperson who does it consistently is Keith Olbermann.
