IPod question

My son has a IPod and he wants me to add some video clips,I have no idea where to start he can add songs but I'm totally lost on the video thing.Is there some special software I need or what...thanks in advance.

Mate the best programme i use for that is WinAVI MP4 Converter. The vids i get of here i use that programme to put them onto my phone. It has a few setting like MP4,IPod etc.
Best ive used and available on most torrent sites

avidemux is a good program , plus it has a lot of features not found in some other programs .
it's totally free and there is no problem with "updates" .

you've gotta convert the videos into mp4 format prior to acutally putting it on the ipod.
what ipod model is it?
