Modular Housing

Okay, so I'm currently taking a Business English course in high school (have been for the since last year) and we've been developing a theoretical business. I'm both bored and curious so I wanted to see the general opinion about mine: Modular Housing.

What do people think about modular housing, current housing, etc. I know some one is going to jump to the conclusion of modular homes today the are assembled in a factory and then shipped, but my idea is more lego like...

-Shameless request-
Also we are running through our statistical analysis unit and my business (all of ours) has suddenly developed a crisis category, A category of income that is suddenly and drastically declining. I need to take surveys as to any possible reason you can think of for the sudden and drastic decline of income.

Thank you for your input, more specific information can be found through the web link:

Again, thanks for any and all responses I get.

P.S. While I know there is a request forum, its in a bad place and almost noone visits it

Sheepe..........

GO CHEAP!!!!!!!!

Take shipping containers, they come in standard sizes and fit together like legos... They come with hard floors and you can weld them together.....

The US has a problem, becasue our trade imballance with china, leaves us will all their shipping containers.........

Re: Modular Housing

Actually, I gotta say, shipping containers was an idea I did have and is used by some people... however this just sparked the idea of using cut apart shipping containers in the use of manufacturing the pieces... I was thinking of Having hollow structural beams and then snapped in walls, so that way wires can be run through the beams and then easily connected into the walls. Also, by having the beams and walls snapped together on site, it allows for denser packing over current methods (shipping cut up rooms) by removing the "Empty Space".
