The sex could be better...
So my girlfriend and I were forced to stop having sex for a couple weeks but we've been having sex again for about 2 weeks now. She is noticeably tighter which I expected but we aren't able to have sex in the positions that we would before because it hurts her. I thought this might just be because she tightened back up from not having sex for a while but we've had sex 5-6 times and it still hurts her to do positions other than missionary. Is this normal? Anyone have any insight on this? I know we're not doctors on this site but I thought maybe someone might have experienced something similar to this is the past.

What did you stop for would probably be some important information. Maybe she didn't like it all before but now she just feels able to tell you? As long as more reasonable positions don't hurt her I don't see why you can't just keep going for a while and see if she gets a little more relaxed?
If else: see a doctor.

Re: The sex could be better...
we stopped because she had a yeast infection and had to take medication... The positions I am talking about are ones that we used to do before and she loved them. Seriously she could not keep quiet when we would do these positions. Now I try them and it just hurts her. I have no problems sticking with the positions that don't hurt her but I would really like to give her the pleasure of the other positions again.

Re: The sex could be better...
Probably some remaining inflamation or issue from that yeast infection...
Should probably get that checked out...
But then again, I've never experienced either of these things

Re: The sex could be better...
I've gotta go with kulots post. Remember, she's a woman and has the woman parts. If she says "see a Doctor", ya might wanna see a doctor. Sometimes, us fellas may want to listen to the ladies.
If you can't figure this out, maybe a doctor could be a real help. I've never experienced this problem, but I hope you're able to work it out. Heck, if you get an answer, why not post the solution for all??

Haha, well, I'm certainly not an expert on woman-parts (although I have them) but I don't believe that there is some sort of extreme "re-tightening" of the vaginal walls after a period of abstaining from sexual activity, to the point where positions that used to be OK would suddenly start hurting her. ESPECIALLY since this is not the first time they've had sex since that period where they had to give it a rest.
I'm wondering if maybe you're just not warming her up enough? Remember that the cervix retracts as the woman gets more aroused (thus making room for the guy's penis). If you stick something in there when she is not aroused, guaranteed you will hit the cervix 2-3" in, which of course will hurt.
If it isn't an anatomical problem then I'd suggest seeing a doc since they should know better than us common folk.

Re: The sex could be better...
Kulots: thanks for reminding me what I already should've remembered. I guess the amber type, cold, frothy, adult beverages got in the way! Another reminder for us fellows: foreplay doesn't mean play for four minutes.....
