Of course this isn't representative of the whole army, just one sadistic jerk who should be thrown off a cliff himself.

It is worrisome however that the kind of people who do that sort of thing are in a situation in which they could, theoretically, be just as sadistic and violent with humans.

If you paid attention to my comments you would realize that my objection is not to the military but to the fact that people like that are accepted into the military (and it can't be that much of a minority based on the number of people involved in the particular video as well as the numerous others that exist - whether they actively or tacitly agree is moot).

More than a single person did this. Many more. This is an example that happened to be recorded. One of many that were recorded which statistically should represent a small portion of atrocities committed in the course of military action. The number of times that this has occurred off camera, the number of rapes and murders and tortures that happen every day is disgusting. This is just an image that should be used to call to attention how fucked up war is. Whether this is the kind of man you have fighting your wars or if the war turned him this way is irrelevant.

Thanks for the negative rep and the uninspired nationalistic bullshit. My liberty is not at stake. This is clearly an example of money paying for guns put in the hands of a man who enjoys killing. He's not defending anything. Also, don't feed me false analogies. Learn how to argue logically before you call me out.

Like I said before, there is a measurable percentage of the military that joined because they enjoy killing. You should not train and arm these people. That is my point.

Sorry this is mostly directed at whoever gave me negative rep. I think we should have a military. You should be careful though. Keep power from those who seek it. Anyone excited about getting a chance to kill someone should not be given a weapon.

Well I know this is going to get some flak, but I don't care. Screw the puppy, what about the innocent people getting killed in Iraq every day? (I don't mean soldiers) What about other people in the world, like in Burma, or Uganda? It's great we live in a place where we can be pissed off about a puke of a dog, but what about the real injustice in the world. Why don't I see more outrage at the fact that children are marching to war in Africa? When it all boils down, fuck that stupid puppy. Period.

I think the point might be, if we are pushing our soldiers to a point that they will do something like this, something is wrong......

A soldier will defend his country, but if he has to things that are immoral, usually he or she has to be pushed.......

If this war was the right war, we would not have to push soldiers....

This is a symptom of a larger problem and a few are taking it out on the thread starter, instead of asking what is happening to our military, if they are doing shit like this.....
