I'm too new to know what the dancing ban deodorant means, so I'll play the deuce and answer the question.

There's a significant difference between enjoying sex and being a sex addict. Almost everyone (barring some who were abused as children or have had some bad adult goings-on) likes sex to one degree or another. Many people, of course, can't seem to get enough. That is healthy and not indicative of addict-like behavior.

On the other hand, when one starts to believe that a monogamy-type relationship is impossible (or unwanted) simply because it would cramp one's ability to have sex with as many partners as possible, that's unhealthy. Generally speaking, for addicts there is a certain void felt which can only be filled by intercourse. This is similar to the withdrawal felt by those who use narcotics.

Some addicts also get involved merely for the escapism of it all. Quoting a book that I have within reach, "They act out their addictions by having multiple sex partners, and, ultimately, obsessing over men or women who are emotionally unavailable to them. Some derail their lives by frequently masturbating (sometimes as much as four or five times a day), having inappropriate fantasies or extramarital affairs, continually logging onto pornographic web sites on the Internet, or hurting themselves sexually with various objects."

Personally, I recommend lots-o-sex, so long as it doesn't interfere with your responsibilities (read: work, school, family, et al)

That's absolutely not true. As kvh said, there's no problem with having sex with as many people as you can. It's not unhealthy to do so. If someone thinks he or she should have sex with more than one he or she should do so. Well, I think, it's just sex. Why shouldn't one decide to have it with many ppl?

In my opinion.. I think you should be able to try things out, find a happy medium, and see what it takes to get there. I believe there is nothing wrong with enjoying either sex alone, with one person or multiple people. Its a matter of preference I would say and no one should be able to judge you on your preference. Heck, if they know about it, it is probably because they were a part of that situation. I do believe that if you are going to be daring you should either do it with people you trust, or people from another state.
