Those who made bush president are as follows:

click on one of our sponsors! OR REMOVE ADS
Wally O'Dell
CEO of Diebold, Inc.

While pitching voting machines to Ohio, Wally told a GOP crowd that he is "committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the President next year." Diebold has been charged with hiding severe security flaws in their e-voting machines.

Larry Russell
Director of Republican Victory Program, SD

Larry and six others were forced to resign over questionable absentee ballot applications, and the state Attorney General is investigating. According to an internal GOP party memo, Larry will now "lead the ground operations" for Bush in Ohio.

Katherine Harris
Ex-Florida Sec. of State

A Jeb Bush appointee and head of the George W. Bush campaign in Florida, Katherine courageously stopped the counting of her state's votes in the days after the 2000 presidential election. She then certified that George W. Bush had carried the State of Florida.

Matt Robb
Republican leader, 48th Ward, South Philadelphia

Matt put his name on a last-minute request to relocate 63 polling places; 53 are located in areas that are less than 10 percent white. Robb, who is white, admitted race was a reason, adding "I'm just not going in there to get a knife in my back."

Dick Carlberg
Duval County Election Chief, FL

Duval County has engaged in a wealth of creative voter suppression tactics including misleading forms, miscounted votes, and more recently, the rejection of large numbers of minority voter registration forms.

John Ellis
Fox News Election Night Decision Desk

In 2000, John cleverly called Florida for George W. Bush even though the data showed results far too close to call. His decision made Bush the presumed victor, and thousands of votes went uncounted. Why Fox News allowed Bush's cousin to do this is anyone's guess.

Xavier Suarez
Former Miami Mayor

Xavier was Miami's mayor until a court ruled that there was absentee ballot fraud. Thirteen staff members plus his city commissioner went to jail, but not Xavier. He later admitting "handling" absentee ballot forms in the 2000 presidential election.

Michael Arno
President, Arno Political Consultants, CA

Michael's company has been accused of fraudulently changing the party affiliations of voter registration cards in Florida, and a prosecutor is investigating. Two workers were charged with forgery relating to a petition drive.

Donnie Newsome
Judge-Executive, Knott County, KY

He was convicted of election fraud, but Donnie is still the top administrator in local government. His appeal is pending, so he is allowed to continue his duties through a glass divider at a Lexington detention center, two hours away (seriously).

John Pappageorge
Michigan State Representative

John boldly said that the Republicans would do poorly in Michigan if they failed to "suppress the Detroit vote." (Yes, he actually said that.) Detroit, of course, is 83% black.

Nathan Sproul
Former-Head of Republican Party and Christian Coalition, AZ

Voters Outreach of America has been accused by former employees of shredding Democratic voter registration forms in Nevada. VOA is linked to a company run by Nathan. VOA has since moved to Oregon.

Oliver Kitzman
Ex-Waller County District Attorney, TX

Earlier this year in Texas, Oliver argued that students at a majority black college were not eligible to vote in the county where the school is located. Waller County has a long history of state sponsored-racism. Kitzman was forced to resign.

Geo Morales
Florida State Police

Jeb Bush's policemen are heroically intimidating successful get-out-the-vote activists in the African-American community. They have gone to the homes of many elderly blacks and "investigated" them for voting fraud, sometimes revealing their firearms along the way.

John Shewairy
Dept. Homeland Security

While working for the Dept. of Homeland Security, John attempted to ban nonpartisan voter registration from outside a naturalization ceremony at Miami's convention center. Although Florida Cubans lean toward Bush, new Hispanic and Haitian voters tend to vote for Democrats.
David Kunko
Chaves County Clerk, NM

New voters who did not register in Kunko's office personally have to show ID when they vote or their vote is not counted. This policy goes against usual practice and also contradicts what most new voters were told when they registered.

Theresa LePore
Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections, FL

In 2000 her county was in ground zero for ballot chaos, and Theresa designed the ballot. She later oversaw an election for her own job during which police surrounded the election center because of a "terrorist threat." She lost.

Todd Schlekeway
Ex-Coordinator for the Republican Victory Office, SD

Todd handled absentee ballots collected from USD students that were notarized by a woman whom no one remembers seeing - which is illegal. Todd was then recruited to collect votes in Ohio by Larry Russell.

Jack Richardson, IV
Jefferson County GOP, Chairman, KY

Jack said he wanted to put Republican "voter challengers" - people who challenge voters for identification - in 59 mostly black neighborhoods on election day in his county. The NAACP called it "assault by voter intimidation."

Eric Fahrendorf
Former Employee, State Republican Party, SD

Eric was embroiled, along with hero Todd Schlekeway, in a scandal involving the false notarization of absentee ballots collected from college students. When news broke, Eric quit and moved to Ohio to continue his good work for Larry Russell.

Donetta Davidson
Secretary of State, CO

Donetta announced that if a voter casts a valid provisional ballot in her state, only the vote for president will be counted. She has also pushed for a number of legally questionable technicalities in which a legitimate ballot may be thrown out.

Marion H. "Son" Kinon
State Representative, SC

Son distributed a brochure to black voters telling them that the FBI would be checking to see if wanted felons were among voters. Kinon wrote: "You have always been my friend, so don’t chance GOING TO JAIL on Election Day!"

Rachel M. Hoff
Ex-Notary Public, State Republican Party, SD

A number of University of South Dakota students, after being approached by a group of men, filled out absentee ballots. The ballots were later turned in with Rachel's notary seal, even though she wasn't there. Criminal charges have been filed.

Chris Roads
Pima County Registrar of Voters, AZ

Chris told college students that if they plan to return to their home states "they cannot vote here" and that "it is a felony if you are lying on that form." It actually takes only 29 days to establish residency in Arizona.

Mark Jacoby
Young Political Majors, LLC, FL

A number of students have said that voter registration cards collected by Mark had their party affiliation fraudulently changed to Republican. Alachua County is investigating.

Nathan Mertz
South Dakota College Republican Treasurer

Nathan was directly involved in fraudulently notarized absentee ballots collected on college campuses for a GOP get-out-the-vote campaign. Nathan was then recruited to collect votes in Ohio for Larry Russell.

David O'Mara
GOP Election Day Coordinator, NV

David was told by Nevada's Secretary of State that his interpretations of how voters may be "challenged" at polling places was incorrect and could result in intimidation and discourage voters from going to the polls.

Russ Dove
Editor, Truth in Action Web Site, AZ

Russ visited numerous polling places during the Arizona primary elections wearing a toolbelt and a black T-shirt labeled 'U.S. Constitutional Enforcement.' He confronted voters with a videocamera as part of a personal search for illegal aliens.

Bill James
Commissioner, Mecklenburg County, NC

Bill fought hard to prevent a $55,992 state elections grant from being used to open polls on a Sunday (early polling access is state law). Most see it as an attempt to prevent black churchgoers from heading directly to the polls after services.

Terri Lynn Land
Michigan Secretary of State

Terri fought to bar election officials from counting provisional ballots unless voters are shown to have voted in the right precinct. Unfortunately for Terri, a U.S. District Judge disagrees. She is appealing.

John Doug Hays
Former state Senator, KY
John Doug is on trial in connection with a vote-purchasing scheme and illegal campaign contributions. Ross Harris, already convicted, was the man who did the dirty work.

Miriam Oliphant
Former Supervisor of Elections, Broward County, FL

Miriam was swept into office after the 2000 voting disaster, but under her watch, nearly 300 absentee ballots were later found in a filing cabinet unopened. Jeb Bush eventually suspended her for "grave" neglect.

Scott Walker
Milwaukee County Executive

Scott tried to short-change the city of Milwaukee by promising them several hundred thousand fewer ballots than the city requested. Scott, who also serves as Bush's State Campaign Chair, eventually succumbed to media pressure.

Frank Sutton
Concerned Citizen, GA
Frank asked for a list of Hispanics registered to vote in Atkinson County, then challenged 78 percent of them. The men and women were required to show up at the county courthouse to prove their citizenship in order to defend their right to vote.

Glenda Hood
Florida Sec. of State

Glenda approved a scrub list barring 48,000 mostly African-American "potential" felons (but only 61 Hispanics) from voting. After bravely fighting in the courts to hide the names from the public, Hood finally admitted that the list was a failure.

Where is this going? That the 2000 election was "rigged"? Of course it was, that's old news.

Bitching about how republicans are crooked rich people isn't going to give us eight years of our country's life back. But it may change the next four.

The point is for people who think that our country is perfect to read and be educated about the corruption in our government. Do you not think that this can happen again?? Good post.

The post is information for people to interperate how ever they would like, then post their feelings... I do think it is very important that we review the last few elections in the coming year and fatty jj seemed to get the point.....

Your signature would be a great example of why we should constantly review the past on how we handle the future..... You do know that, who framed rodger rabbit, was about a conspiracy of General Motors, Standard Oil, Firestone Tires, that al killed off a thriving rail mass-transit system to increase the revenue of the above companies... There were trials and they were found guilty, but we still live without mass transit... OUR PRESENT ENERGY CRISIS IS HAPPENING, IN A LARGE PART, BECAUSE OF A CONSPARICY IN THE 40's..........

Thanks for posting and helping me make my point rep up...........

I think there are examples of corruption on all sides of the party aisles. Personally, my peeve is electronic voting machines; I don't believe the machines are reliable, are secure, are needed (unless you want to rig an election......).

It will happen again, in a couple of decades when all of the "No Child Left Behind" children, who instead of talking about current affairs and the going ons of the world are memorizing charts to do long division in order to pass a standardized test.

No Child Left Behind... the greatest Republican investment for the rich since... who knows when.

Re: Those who made bush president are as follows:

The thing that stands out in my mind about the 2000 election, was the way part of the television media presented the apparent impatience of the American people, in wanting the election result declared without delay. I fully understand that processing those "hanging, torn and spoilt chad voting slips" was something that needed to be done as a matter of urgency, but when the presidential race was that close, surely wasn't it more important to get the vote count right. Even if it did entail a little delay in getting all the postal votes from service personnel etc, together with the above mentioned "chads". The overall impression I received from the news coverage was that the American people in general wanted it decided quickly, rather than wait for the safe result.

I agree. And strangely enough, whoever won would have had to wait quite some time to enter office anyway!

I wouldn't be so quick to assume that.

After all, the mob fixed Kennedy's election back in the day so that kind of thing happens all over the place.
