I dont know if any of yall have been to Fry's, but I was working there and I was the vanna (the person at the start of the line and tells the customers what register to go to. As this older gentlemen was leaving from a register near me (guessing 50s to 60s), he smiles big at me and says thanks while handing me a buisness like card. At first before looking at the card I assumed that it was going to be about God or Jesus trying to convert me just because that is what I am use to seeing when people are handing things out, but as I looked at it, it was far from it. It read:

This card is not a joke
You are a very attractive young man!
Interested in opportunities,
photography or other? ! $$ to you.

ARE YOU ADVENTUROUS?
(then the phone number)

It has a circle of triangles that are rainbow colors and the phone number is also rainbow colors.

So instantly I thought that the man made an advancement towards me and was very grossed out by it. We were very busy and by the time I was done processing that information he was already gone. We do have camaras so he would be seen on camara for idenification. Now at college I had a gay guy (who was my age) telling me how attrative i was and how he wanted me and I always told him that I wasnt gay and as it was gross but not offensive since he was still a friend and when i said something he stopped "flirting with me". But this situation was totally different. I believe for that facts that he is so much older than me and that the card is so gross and it was by a complete stranger. Who knows who else he gives that card to esp little boys who dont know any different. He might even be a petaphile.

Now the question. Am I blowing this to much out of portion? Was that a form of sexual harassment? Should I contact someone about this such as the police?

Could be a modeling agency. Could be a pedophile. I've been approached by modeling agencies before and they always feed you the "your look is in" deal. Scams. They get you to pay for a photographer and a portfolio then put you in line with some other guys to get gigs.

If you are REALLY interested, give it a call and play it by ear. If it turns out to be shady, call the police.

It is not sexual harassment, as nothing other then a smile from an old guy, and him handing you a card.

Is he a pedophile? I do not know. But if he where, I doubt he would give you a card, since you are looking closer to an older age.

Is he gay? Maybe.

can it be real? Possible. But I am thinking, if it where a real deal, he would have talked to you, identified whom he was and whom he worked for, and the card would have his name on it as well.

But, he could be very rich, and you would not have to work at "Fry's" anymore.

Agree with Juan, probably some fake modeling scam. Adventurous is probably a euphemism for 'interested in posing nude'. If you are creeped out by it, tear up the card, throw it in the bin and forget about it.

Report it, if it is a genuine, legal thing then he wont mind talking to the police about it and everyone's day carries on. If it is illegal they can get him!!

calling cops for something like that is completly asshole! what did he do to you, really. hes just a harmless gay guy. its not like he grabbed your ass or anything. just dont respond. or do. gay guys will give you money just to look at your cock. you dont have to be gay and you could make some extra money.

I don't think the fellow violated any law by handing you the card. Remember, he offered the card, but you accepted the card. Calling the police won't get you anywhere. If you're not interested, toss the card and file the incident in the "WTF" category.
