Ok..so me and my girlfriend have just started to use condoms because we had a scare last week. We were stupid and never used protection. We've been having sex for about 6 months and its been so fantastic. Last night we did it for the first time with a condom and I couldnt stay hard after a while! The feeling is so much different. There is no sensation at all it seems!

So guys, have you ever experienced this? Is something wrong with me? I couldnt cum and after 10 minutes I got soft. It was horrible. I felt as if I let her down but she says its ok.

i do not mean to patronize you at all, but there are condoms that are extra sensitive. they are usually made from a thinner latex and may even come pre-coated with lubricant that will "enhance" your experience.

my gf and I had a similar problem, actually, except that it happened to both of us. For us, it was the fact that we were using Trojans with the spermicidal lubricant, and as it turns out, both of us were allergic to it. It just so happens that this particular spermicide, common in the condom buisiness, causes an allergic reaction in about half the population which consists of little more than a loss of sensation, or slight numbing of the skin.

Good way to test this, even though it may seem weird, is to take one out of the wrapper, touch a finger to both the inside and out, and then touch your lips. Wait a minute or two, and then see if the spot on your lips are any less sensitive than the other parts. If so, the allergy is your problem, and you need to switch to a different type of condom.

Also, ask your gf if she noticed anything like that as well. I know that when we used these I could go for over an hour, but neither of us could ever get off, and it actually got really annoying.

I can personally suggest the Durex ultra-thin. They are, ahem, "very-nice."

there's other forms of birth control besides condoms too. why not try the pill? As long as you remember to take it every day it's awesome. there's no having to stop in the moment to put the condom on or lost sensation. I can't stand condoms either.

Try putting a little of the lube on the inside of the condom. (it won't slip off... don't worry) With that and a little lube on the outside, it should help a lot.

Yeah condoms do really suck, you have to stop and almost ruin the intensity/mood to "suit up." Most of the girls I've been with have been on the pill, although there have been a few times I just said fuck it. The extra sensitive ones are definitely the best by far.

Yeah I would go with the thinner condoms.

But for the whole, 'Putting condoms on ruins the mood' problem, I suggest having the girl roll it on with her mouth. It's a great way to keep the spark of the moment up.
