Anyone but Hilary 2008
I don't mind having a woman president, but I really hope the idiots in power don't force this cunt on us just to prove the US moved into the 21's century and elected a woman.
Quote:
She wants to be our next President????
She certainly sounds like a 'cultured lady.'
A fine representative of the American people, don't you think?
Sweet Hillary....mother,wife & next........ President Of These United States Of America?? Want a warm and fuzzy feeling? Read on !

(From the book "Hillary's Scheme" p. 89 - Hillary's various comments to her Secret Service detail agents.)

This ill-tempered, violent, foul-mouthed, hateful and abusive woman wants to be your president and have total control, as commander-in-chief, of our Military, the very Military for which she has shown incredible disdain throughout her public life.

Re: Anyone but Hilary 2008
I don't WANT a cool president. I want a good leader. Someone who is thinking about treating her help as real people...yeah, she's in tune with the working class. Someone using the secret service to carry her bags...yeah, I want that bitch in charge of the boom buttons. Saying us/we aren't smart enough to make our own choices? Riiiight, that bitch married Bill Clinton.

Re: Anyone but Hilary 2008
You guys forget that Hilary ALREADY has been our president -- for the first 2 years of Bill's presidency everyone accused Bill of being a front for Hilary.
Supposedly the secret service agents had a running joke-- in the morning they would say: "be extra careful guarding Hilary... if anything happens to her then Bill will take over."

Re: Anyone but Hilary 2008
Meh, we are coming off the worst president ever, anything beats that. And if these quotes are true, which is pretty funny considering she has spoken billions of words in a life of public service and you have a small list of foul ones.. who cares? We had a president getting us into a pointless war while radically overspending.. we have an incredibly corrupt Republican party who will fare no better once he leaves office. I'll take my chances on Hilary.

I also don't want anyone who's got Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes as campaign advisors.
Yes, I'm talking about Hillary Clinton. Doubt me? Google will prove it.

Re: Anyone but Hilary 2008
I don't know why there is such pro-republican/anti-democrat nonsense in this forum, but I guess some of you guys are just narrow-minded redneck, hillbillies from the south, that are scared a gay guy might marry another one, or that you won't let anyone take one of your 15 different guns. The whole anyone but Hillary thing is preposterous, and these little excerpts you've taken are just stupid, I agree with nocturnal_e, who cares!
I think that while Hillary was the first lady, she one of the best there was, at least she tried to do something about the millions of Americans that don't have insurance, sadly she failed because we have been taught to believe that socialized medicine is evil, and you don't want the government running healthcare. Medicare is socialized medicine, as is all of the healthcare that the military receives, and aside from the recent VA hospital scandal, socialized medicine looks like a very good idea. If you are a christian, and believe in god, then you should be for healthcare for everyone. Doesn't jesus want all of god's children to be cared for?
Bill Clinton, aside from his promiscuity, is one of the greatest presidents of our time, and the only thing you can really say about him is he lied about getting blown in the oval office. Aside from his political career, look at what he is doing now, the Clinton Global Initiative helps millions of needing people all around the world, for no financial gain. From AIDS, to TB, to Malaria, to poverty, healthcare, and environmental issues---no former president has done more to help the people of the world, in and out of office!
Why is this country so behind in progressive ideas? Most of the industrialized countries have either had a woman president, or have one now--Germany for example. And every industrialized country in the world has nationalized healthcare, along with many other things, like free child care, doctors make house visits if you are unable to get to a hospital, and many other things we pay enormous amounts of money for. Everyone should see Micheal Moore's film "Sicko." I just don't understand why so many republicans are against nationalized healthcare when they are supposedly christian. I personally think that religion has corrupted politics in this country just as much as corporations. I'm ranting, I'll stop

Re: Anyone but Hilary 2008
I gotta agree with nocturnal_e on this one too folks...we have had one of the shittiest presidents in American history sitting in the White House for the last 8 years while he's sent off 3,000 of our people to die in a ridiculously pointless war and domestically stripped us of so many civil liberties it's appalling.
I'm honestly no fan of her, but I am convinced that we would have to do a HELL of a lot worse that Hilary Clinton to do worse than the fucking power-tool retard we have in office right now.

Crawler. watch the personal offenses here, it warrants a ban. I'm not a southern redneck by far. look at the flag, it IS where I'm from.
So you all's main defense is Bush is worse, so lets settle for someone (in your opinion) slightly better?
Screw that. We haven't had a good president since Reagen.

Re: Anyone but Hilary 2008
Reagan, really? Why do all Republicans worship this man? I get it, he started the whole neo-conservative thing, and he "defeated the Communists," but I just don't get it. The man presided over the worst economy this country has had in the last fifty years, throw the Carter reference in there if you want, but the gas crisis was unavoidable. Reagan bankrupted our economy, and created millions of poor people, Reaganomics anyone? Trickle-down economics, what Reagan preached, and what Bush is doing right now, never works. The rich keep their money, and the middle class and poor people just get left behind and forgotten about.
Having grown up in the Midwest, I was surrounded by people who think just as you do, so I've heard this argument before. I even have heard many Republicans think that Reagan's face should be put on Mt. Rushmore. Now, I lived in the state that particular national monument was in, and if anyone deserves to be put up there, it is FDR!
But back to Reagan, why is it that he is soooo great? Is it just that he "singlehandedly" defeated the Communists? I really don't know what else he did that was so great. He did however do a lot of things that weren't so great, Iran Contra anyone?
I just don't see why Republicans hate Clinton so much, and Hillary even more. Aside from his promiscuity, what did he do so wrong? Now I guess you could throw in the whitewater scandal, but he was in office for two terms, so he was bound to have at least one--look how many Bush has had! What I will say here may surprise a few people but I think the last Republican President that was ok was Bush Sr. Surprised, yeah I thought you might have been. But he was an old school republican, not like his son, or Reagan. Bush Sr. disagreed with Reagan constantly, but because he was only the Vice President at the time, he couldn't do much. Bush Sr. started the whole environmental cause in the early nineties with the clean air act, and raised taxes when they needed to be raised, unlike his son. I hate to say it but the Clinton administration owes some thanks to Bush Sr.'s administration for the incredibly prosperous economy of the middle to late nineties.
Now why is Hillary so bad? I for one am not planning on voting for her, but I would if she won the primary. I don't dislike her, but think Obama would be better, I think what he has to say is refreshing, and he has the right stance on just about every issue facing this nation. I am supporting Obama, but would love it if Gore would enter the race. There is even an effort to draft Gore into running for President. Gore would be unbeatable, and no Republican would stand a chance, he just won the Nobel Peace Prize for Godsakes! Honestly, I don't think any of the Republicans stand a chance no matter who the Dems nominate. The Republican field is just too weak. They can only talk about the war on terror, and Iraq for so long--they will have to find other things to talk about eventually.
Who do you really have to run, or even win with? You have Mayor 911, let's have a contest to see who can say 911 the most--Rudy wins, who is pro gay rights, anti gun, pro abortion all issues that scare the crap out of Republicans, and is a cross-dresser that has been married three different times! Then there's the ex-Governor from the liberal--oh Jesus--state of Massachusetts, who is also, although he denies it, anti gun, pro gay rights, and pro abortion, and is also NOT a Christian, but a MORMON omg! Then you have McCain who has simply lost his mind, where did the "maverick McCain" go? And the late entry, Fred Thompson, who was a one-term Senator, and has been married a couple times--have you seen his current wife--damn! He is very old, and extremely out of touch with anything, and has the whole Hollywood thing against him also, although it helped Reagan, but those were different times. After that, you have a bunch of nobody's who don't stand a chance of winning a primary.
What this country needs is someone who will look out for the poor, the middle-class, someone who will fight to provide health care for all, to restore our nation's standing in the world, who will reform our crumbling school system, reform college education and student loans, secure our borders while administering a responsible immigration policy, restore fair trade, create new jobs, protect us from terrorists, protect the environment, reform lobbying practices in Washington--or get rid of them! There are many other things that need to be addressed in the next election, and the way I see it, the Republicans only have two issues to talk about, the war on terror, and immigration, they're gonna have to talk about more than just these issues, because the war on terror and Iraq aren't the only issues that need addressing--hint for Mayor 911!
Has it ever occurred to you Juan that if the Republicans had their way, there wouldn't be that many Mexicans in the country? Probably only the legal ones, and probably not many of those either. Are you really from Mexico? Because I don't think I've ever met a Mexican who is also Republican before. I guess if I offended you I'm sorry, I didn't think what I said what bad at all. Maybe you should have posted this in the BOTH, if you didn't want any "heated" discussion.

I'm not a republican. I'm registered democrat.
I think Reagan was good because of what he did to me and my family's wallet. Simple.

There is no way that you would get rid of the mexicans beause, I am one and here I am legaly, born here, raised in Mexico for the most part. I vote republican because I like my money and I'm (despite some of my lifestyle choices) very much catholic.
Which president was it that gave us amnesty last? Regan.
Who was trying to propose another temp worker visa deal? Bush...who struck it down...well you know where I'm going with this.
Heated discussions are okay. Calling people:

Re: Anyone but Hilary 2008
You sure talk like a Republican, and the last President you thought was any good was Reagan? Maybe you're confused, I think you should register as a republican, because you seem to have more in common with that team. If you are basing your like or dislike of a President over how much they will be able help you out financially, then I think you are involved in politics for the wrong reason. Why don't you like Clinton then, he presided over the best economy this country has had since post World War two. Is it because he got a blow job and lied about it?
