FOX and the 100 dollar bill

click on one of our sponsors! OR REMOVE ADS
So Fox News is doing a story on the new standards for printing the 100 dollar bill and she said that the former PRESIDENT was going to get a face lift...

Fox can't even fact check Ben Franklin's work history!!!!!!!!

I would think that a leading news source, that thinks Ben Franklin was a president is very serious... It epitomizes the lack of knowledge of those who influence.

Let's see what a few others think.........

Re: FOX and the 100 dollar bill

I agree with dd. They should not be allowed to broadcast news any longer. A slip of that magnitude is unforgivable. Just the fact that not one script editor noticed it demonstrates their lack of knowledge of america's history, and therefore their lack of knowledge with what goes on in the world today.

Or it could just be a mistake, which everyone makes. I've seen mistakes like this numerous times, on the news, in tv shows, movies etc. It's funny.

Get a life DD.

This should be in the BOTH.

Re: FOX and the 100 dollar bill

well i ask if the apologised about it
if it was a mistake then they should publicly apologise
thats how it is with news papers in SA
if they make a spelling mistake or make errors on someone in an artical they must apologise on the front page
so if they admitted the mistake its forgiveable
if they didnt apologise i think you just need to use your democratic right of choice and never watch them again

A slip on the news is a serious topic now? It happens everyday. My stance on this topic has nothing to do with it being fox news. I would have the same stance if it were cnn or msnbc. Slips happen all the time, so, I think arguing that it "epitomizes the lack of knowledge of those that influence" is ludicrous.

If you messed up and said that Jefferson was the second president, would you want someone attacking your knowledge? No, because I'm sure you know that Jefferson was the third president, just as I'm sure the reporter (not to mention fox news in general) knows that Ben Franklin wasn't a president.

You are much easier on mistakes than I or anyone that has ever cut me a check....

How many people do you think saw and read over it before it hit the air.... I don't have the type of background that would make me qualified to report, but I knew it right off that they were wrong...........

Fox is full of mistakes and promotes disinformation... They also take prepackaged 'news' produced by corporations with special interest and present it as news....... This is nothing less than dangerous......
Sorry if I did not pick a better example than calling Ben Franklin a president....
And as far as having a life, activism and teaching is a huge part of my life... Politics is my sports...

I will also tell you I appreciate your input, even if it does get close to flaming...

Lastly, I will now tell you, because of how it has developed , this thread does belong here, unless I do not have a good grasp of EOH.....
