Getting out of the "Friends only" Category
I've been curious if it is even possible to get out of the "friends only" category and into the "more than friends" category. There is a nice gal I know who I know has put me in the first category, but I am trying to figure out if it is even possible to get out of that and into another altogether. Any advice on how to do this, or should I just save me and her grief and stay "friends"? Thanks!

Re: Getting out of the "Friends only" Category
Once she has put you in the "friends only" catagory, best option is to stay that way. Do not make any effort from your side to change this. In fact, my advice is you try to get closer with other gals. Maybe, at some point of time this will trigger some jealousy and she'd re-think on the "friends only" catagory. That, as per my experiance is your one hope.

Get drunk and make a pass at her. If she turns you down play it off as a drunken mistake, if not, jackpot.

Re: Getting out of the "Friends only" Category
There is an interesting topic related to this, called the "Ladder Theory", google for it, or search this forum, it's been shared before. Basically it says, guys put all girls on one ladder that they want to fuck, but girls have 2 ladders. One has friends only, the other has guys to fuck. It is supposed to be near impossible for a guy to move off the friends ladder onto the fuck ladder. She will have some real dirtbags on her fuck ladder.
My advice? Ignore her, make her chase you. In the meantime, improve your post count here, please. see my signature

I have to agree with this one... The drunken thing might work, but this is basically using the jealousy that all women have against themselves. She doesn't want to see you with her friends, even though she should have no reason to feel that way. I think it's a control thing but whatever it is, it works like gangbusters!

dont use jealousy as a weapon
if you do end up having a relationship it will be held as ammo against you
jealousy makes woman mental

Re: Getting out of the "Friends only" Category
I tried the get drunk and tell her how I felt and it ruined our friendship. But to be honest its better that way. I couldn't stand being interested in a girl and only being considered a friend.

Re: Getting out of the "Friends only" Category
Unless this is some form of goddess, let go and move on. A girl makes up her mind on what kind of relationship she wants out of things in the first few days of your relationship. If you never made a pass, if you never let on that you see her as a potential mate, you get put into this little category called "friends I go to when I need an ego boost to feel confident enough to slut myself around until someone fuckable comes along."
Men, all we have is "girls I'd fuck" and "girls I'd fuck with X ammount of beer" where x is a number based on the bio data.

Re: Getting out of the "Friends only" Category
I say just let it fly and tell her how u feel. If shes not interested and a true friend it won't bother her and things will go on as normal. If she isn't a true friend and gets bitter, then kick her ass to the curb cause she deserves it anyways, more than likely.

Re: Getting out of the "Friends only" Category
Sorry to hear it didn't work out with this one in your favour (ie: getting laid) but I agree with Juan...let her go and go on to the next.

his is always generaly bad advise. it never is the same. EVER. if you ask and she isn't interested, as I'm assuming she's not, she'll distance herself.

Re: Getting out of the "Friends only" Category
Yeah, its not so much about getting laid, its more along the lines of having a relationship that could be long term getting laid instead of merely short term...but yeah, i guess i'll let her run whatever course and if she decides to give me a shot, then whoop-de-doo.

Re: Getting out of the "Friends only" Category
That's even worse. Long term relationships with chicks that started off as friends....no go.
Long term relationships usually go with chicks you meet through aquaintances that you get hooked up with. Friends of friends, a buddy's sister or cousin, etc.
Meet a girl, hang out, sleep on the same bed with no sexual tension, friend for life. Hang on to her and have her hook you up with one of her friends. With any luck, if you hit it off with the friend, the "woman" in her might kick in and act jeallous and then you can try something.
Women are weird.
