Would this be a good computer?

I think I have settled on these parts. The processor is likely to change because I have heard that Intel is dropping its prices next week and I still have about $300 in my budget. I don't know whether I should upgrade the processor to quadcore or maybe buy another video card.

Also I'm not sure about the mother board. It got pretty good reviews on newegg, but I really don't know anything about them. The power supply came bundled with the mobo so I figured it has the right connections and stuff and plenty of power for $30 cheaper.

Total price: $1641.86

I'm going to go buy software from my school in the next couple of hours. Gotta love getting Vista + Office + Virus protection for I think about $50.

bag that samsung burner , it is an OEM , most do not come with software . get a plextor .

duo cores are great ... find a faster cpu . this item you only want to buy once ... rather than going "oh hell" in a month .
remember ... vista is bloated and looooves ram/cpu cycles !

Re: Would this be a good computer?

Sorry I made some changes. I posted a little prematurely. I often have that problem.

EDIT: The other thread on pretty much the same topic is more thorough. I wish I could delete this one.
