It has nothing to do with sucking up to anyone.
Look around this board. Almost every single forum in it has rational discussions that include the majority of the "Oregon Crew". The difference being that they are in places that are serious or the rules restrict banter. Good points from good people.
Then there is BOTH. The banter forum. The place for people to come and goof off and fuck around. Maybe you haven't payed attention to it, or maybe you don't see it, but most of what they say is BS...it's called sarcasm, and it's a form of humour. Ya, sometimes we all go to far, and as with FP it was pointed out and apologized for.
The difference here is that it was done. 2 people involved and over with. You can't seem to do that. You make personal shots at people that are just enjoying talking to people around the world and make everything out to be serious.
They don't tell you to go back to porn because they don't want other members here, they say that because they get fed up with always defending themselves and having good threads ruined by fighting. You do a good job in the GP (And they give you credit for it) so they say go there and do that because you aren't adding positives to BOTH the way it is now.
Most of these members were here long before you or I and everything ran just fine. They get constant rep etc. from a slew of members outside of the main crowd and are very good and finding banter to increase posting. There is a reason that mstad and Korny and Queso are all at the top of the rep heap (Not on top, we'll still give that to MJ) and it's not because they spend all day repping each other.
I'm really trying to be nice here dude. You need to just let go. Stop attacking people over some dumb sarcastic comment. It's NEVER personal to start with. Maybe you don't get the humour, but trust me it's there.
