Does anyone know anything about finding drivers to read certain USBs? I have a lexar usb device and can't get my pc to recognize it.

It should recognize it right away. Most USB devices don't need specific drivers. It should see it as a "storage device" if nothing else. Go to Lexar.com and look if they have drivers there.

you might have a USB 2.0 device with USB ports that are not 2.0...

computers older than a year or so

Is the Lexar device the only USB device you're having USB problems with?
If so, go here; http://www.lexarmedia.com/drivers/index.html and find your device and the drivers you need for it

If there is no link for your device for XP, try the 2000 drivers if there are any. I'm not saying it will work using the 2k drivers, but it might.


If other USB devices are also having problems, then you need newer USB drivers for your USB ports. And that depends on what chip maker made the USB chip.
