Find someone's ISP through AIM?
A few years ago I found a site that would determine someone's ISP by direct connecting to them through AIM, then goin into dos and using the command netstat -n. Then you would take their IP number down and enter it into the site. It would then give you their ISP. Does anyone know if this site still exists or if there is another way to find out someone's ISP?

Re: Find someone's ISP through AIM?
No possible to do without a direct connect since all traffic is directed through AOL.

Re: Find someone's ISP through AIM?
there is a command you type in the dos prompt to see what all the outgoing connections are, i think it may be netconnect, not sure though, cant remember

My script kiddie detector just maxed out...
Anyways, no need for a trojan. All you need to do is netstat -an before you connect, take note of your connections (or just "netstat -an > file.txt"), direct connect, netstat -an again, and compare the connections before and after. There should be one more connection after than before, this is the IP address of the person. If you want to find out their ISP use something like this to trace it. There is no way to find out their IP without directly connecting.
