Re: What do i say AFTER "hi"
Going out for coffee is one that I get all the time. I don't think it matters what you say really, as long as it basically means getting together sometime in the future and "doing something". No magic word or phrase will make her give up her # - if she's interested it'll be yours, if she's not, she'll decline, no matter what you say. Just don't come up with something really stupid...

Re: What do i say AFTER "hi"
....ask her if she knows any good jokes, and don't fake a laugh if it's not funny...if she doesn't know any, don't offer one unless asked...if she asks : " okay there was this guy named (your named) in a (setting ie,bar, school, etc.) and he was having a really average day, he was so tired of the same old game , and was about to go home to have an average night. Then he saw this (insert mild flattery) girl , and her name was........(insert the sound of a vault creaking open or slamming shut)..leading to further ?'s....brothers, sisters, local, from outta town....
....look for clues, does she have a keyring that might lend you some insight into her interests...
....stay away from any polarizing subjects that might paint you into a corner...
....good luck.....and report back

Re: What do i say AFTER "hi"
Ask a question, get the conversation started. Don't go up and just say "hi, wanna go out?". I don't find "hi, I'm ..." very effective either, it's just a little weird having a stranger come up and tell you his name. But by asking them a question, it shows you are interested in them. Good luck.

Yea I agree going up to some random person saying "Hi i'm ......" can be kinda wierd and awkward at times. Asking her something like the time or directions or something would be a decent conversation starter then proceed and introduce yourself and ask her out if she seems somewhat interested

Re: What do i say AFTER "hi"
If you really need help, reading David D'Angelo's books isn't a bad idea, they are cheap and give some good recommendations on secondary reading and techniques you can try.... if nothing else, they should help give a bit of extra confidence.
Do a google search for "Double your Dating"
And no... I'm not trying to sell anything. If you don't really want to commit the cash there is a free newsletter that gives tons of really good examples of first meetings with some good things to say. Hope it helps.
