Re: wedding problems
How can you talk about serious when you are going to get married. What is it about a woman that wants to spend the rest of her life making one man miserable...If you dont have a sense of humour............dont get married.................

Re: wedding problems
Since no one replied seriously to the threadstarter...
If you only want 3 then pick the ones closest to you or the ones you've known the longest(but you've probably already thought of that)
If all else fails...draw straws...good luck on your big day!

Re: wedding problems
Another option, see if any of them would be okay with the other roles in the wedding, like ushers, runners, sound?, video?, if nothing else they will be happy that you asked, it shouldn't be too big of a deal who stands next to you as long as they are there for you and support you. After all they are your friends and true friend would understand that there can only be three up there with you. That leaves 4 to do something else. Maybe the one who throws your bachelor party takes a seat at the wedding?

Re: wedding problems
Tell them that they're all good friends to you, and that you can't decide. Then have them decide themselves(away from you) who it's gonna be.

Re: wedding problems
Pick the three you are closest to. Invite the rest. The other four probably didn't really want to rent a tux anyway.

Re: wedding problems
saint72: you're really lucky to have 7 guys you consider that close... there's no way to avoid hurt feelings.
we don't know you or them, so we can't really help you without more info. certainly if any of them are family then they've got to be in. beyond that only you can decide who counts. good luck. the next obstacle will be deciding the seating arrangement at the reception.

I understand mstad's suggestion, but I think you ought to consider this as a decision you need to make yourself.
You know that most men are not as tied emotionally to something like a wedding. The guys would probably be more offended if they were uninvited to the bachelor party. Your friends/relatives who you think would be hurt if not chosen - those are the ones to put in the party. This will be easy to explain to the others.
And congratulations!

Re: wedding problems
Congrats on your wedding - IMO - its your wedding, so make your choices, don't worry about feelings of others (in this case). If these guys are your friends, then they will understand your choices. If not, then tuff 4 them. If any of them are family, they should understand also. You can discuss it with your fiance, get input from her also. And the suggestion about other duties (ushers, runners, etc) for the ones u don't ask to stand is a good one.
Good luck - marriage is great, btw...despite what r47mie says...
