my top 5 favorite books
here is a list of my top 5 fav books. if you wanna talk about em or ask about em, i'll be glad to...
we start with
#1 "Fierce invalids home from hot climates" by tom robbins. holy shit, this is an amazing book. not a bad sentance in the whole thing, the story is hilarious, this is what true no kidding literature is. freaking excellent, you can't do better. (his other stuff is also kick ass, especially "even cowgirls get the blues")
#2 "et tu, babe" by mark leyner. anything leyner writes is hilarious and fucked up and excellent. if you are unintelligent, or very serious, you won't like his stuff. it's out there.
#3 "lamb" by christopher moore. freaking hilarious. i also like "fluke" and "a dirty job" but i think "lamb" is his best. and if you are super religious (which i kinda doubt, few people are nowadays) it isn't sacriligous at all, although you might think it would be.
#4 "naked economics" by some guy whose name i forgot. i have nothing to do with economics, but i really enjoy reading about econ for some fucked up reason. if you know nothing about econ, but wanna learn, this is the book. it makes econ fun and understandable. great book.
#5 "consolations of philosophy" by alain de botton. using philosophy to deal with everyday things that make you wanna slap the shit out of someone, or put a gun to your head, or both. great book. his other books are pretty good as well, but i like this one best.
#6 "dancing wu li masters" by gary zukov. best book on quantum physics for a laymen ever. simple, elegant, entertaining. so damn good, i put it on my list of 5 even though it's number 6.
there you have it. i can recommend more books if you'd like. ask me what you like to read, i probably know a decent book about it. i read a lot. when i'm not looking at porn.
