here is the story..

Internet went down beginning of august.. I call and tell them the problem. The tech's say its possible that the connection from the outside isn't good so they send a tech out.. I meet with the guy and he says everything looks good from the outside and he cant come inside cause he's not one of the computer techs.. strange i know..

So i call and get a computer tech to come look at my DSL modem.. cause thats where I and all the tech's beleived the problem laid.. So she finally arrives and determines the modem is fine.. and the possible culprit is a RT terminal down a few blocks.. so she puts in a work order for that.. and said everything should be up and running hopefully by 2pm.

Not more than a few hours later the same guy shows up that worked on the outside says he's not sure why he was dispatched here again.. and wanted to see if everything was good from the inside.. he cant really figure out whats going on, cause all the readings they are getting are good.. so he had a fit with the lady that was there just a few hours before and basically says she didn't know what she was doing..

He then calls one of his buddys that works in the computer side of things.. he comes out and playing around.. then all of a sudden the modem works.. (note it is around 2pm)

So both of them were like yeah, that lady didn't know what she was talking about..


blah blah blah.. Forward to today. We get the bill.. They charged us 71 bucks for the "repairs" ..

So I call today and dispute these charges.. asking what exactly they "repaired" at my home.. They said the charges were for when the guy went to the outside of the home to see if there was a dial tone.. I asked why would they send someone out to check that if all the problems I had were for the internet access..


anyhow they didn't remove the charges yet.. but they are under investigation. We will not pay them no matter what.

internet down. Call to get repaired.. 4 techs to the house 3 on the phone and 2 days is what it took.. pathetic.

AT&T ain't been worth a shit since they allowed the companies to get back into everything. I had them for long distance from the time they controlled everything. When they broke things up, I stayed with them except for a 4 day period I went with MCI who took over service and the shut my service off because they said I owed them money. I only find this out because my mom ended up in the hospital for heart failure and was suppose under-go open heart surgery. Luckily I had two lines and I found out they only cut off my listed number. I went round and round with them since it was impossible for me to owe them anything since I had service with Ma Bell since 1971. I called AT&T and had them back on monday. MCI never sent a bill, but I wouldn't have paid it anyway.
After AT&T started to get into local service, internet , etc. was when I had problems. I had thier internet but didn't like thier billing seperately from my long distance so I dropped them and stayed with Verizon. Lond distance went to crap when the started billing me direct. I found out my unlimited package wasn't worth a damn because the only one I got to call for free was my daughter and I was paying minute charges for all the rest. I got into a billing problem with them when the shut me off for being late. I paid them in full and two week later they cut me off again because I didn't pay then right away. The new bill had charges for a full month service and a $25 dollar reconnection fee. I couldn't get any satisfaction out of them so I figured screw them and refused to pay. They keep charging me for services I wasn't getting and finally stopped billing me when they got the bill up to $128. I never did pay them. I just threw out the bills they had sent thru a collection agency. They had already written it off as unpaid with the credit bureau. They'll have to wait and try to get it out of my estate when I croak.

fuck SBC. My satellite tv went down and they wanted to charge me 100 bucks to come out and fix it after i had been using them for about 2 years.
