Went to the Sounds of the Undeground Tour last night
Went to Sounds of the Underground yesterday. Was at the Rave in Milwaukee. Pretty damn good show overall.. Very good time. It was pretty damn hot tho, Would have been tons better had it not been so hot.
Band Lineup was that we saw.
Evergreen Terrace, the Chariot, Behemoth, the Black Dahlia Murder, terror, Gwar, Cannibal Corpse, Trivium, Machine Head, and In Flames.. There was 1 more band but I cant remember the name.
Evergreen Terrace was playing when we arrived.. Didn't sound anything to special.
Then the Band I cant remeber the name of played.. Pretty good. Good guitar and drums..
Out came the Chariot. they sucked some massive balls.. But apparently all the members quit except 1 not too long ago.. They sounded like a "cover band" that plays their own stuff.
Behemoth came out next, they had their best Eric Draven(the crow) paint on.. I wasn't sure what to expect because i had never heard anything from them. They were pretty dang good. I really enjoyed their set.
out next was the Black Dahlia Murder.. another band I hadn't really heard anything from.. they were probably the biggest surprise of the night, they were awesome. One for sure to go grab their CD..
Terror was next up. Yet another band I had never heard of before. They were pleasantly surprising.
Gwar was last up on the Rave stage.. I had never seen them before even though i've had mutiple opportunities. I had also heard of their stage antics before.. but let me tell ya.. You dont know what your missing until you see them.. 1 word.. T-REX.. They were probably the best act of the enire night.
That closed out the Rave stage.. so we headed upstairs to the Eagles Ballroom to see the remaining 5 bands, we only stayed for 4 tho.
Cannibal Corpse opened the Eagles stage. I pretty much think they sucked.. Growling is one thing.. but since most of the songs sounded identical.. it just made it worse..
Trivium was up next.. They were pretty good, not as great as i hoped but not bad.. They played "Master of Puppets" as well.. and it sounded pretty good..
Up comes Machine Head... This was one of the two bands I was really looking forward to seeing.. and their set was pretty dissapointing.. They opened with Imperium, which was awesome,.. and they played a new song off their next albumn, which was their best song of the set.. however they did not play either of my favorite songs.. "From this Day" . off of the Burning Red and "Ten Ton Hammer" off of The More Things Change.
up next was In Flames.. Not too familar with them, but did recoginze some of their songs.. Pretty good set overall.. Will go see them again if I get the chance.
Last up on the Eagles stage was As I lay Dying.. We did NOT stay for them as, 1. it was too damn hot, and 2. they were not very good when we saw them on the "Taste of Chaos" tour..
so if you get a chance to go see this tour.. i would recommend watching.
Gwar, In Flames, the Black Dahlia Murder, and Behemoth..
the ones to avoid..
Cannibal Corpse, and the Chariot.
Best band of the night.. Gwar, followed by In Flames, the Black Dahlia murder, Behemoth, Trivium, Terror, Machine Head.

The only one I've heard of is Gwar, and I don't think I've even ever listened to them. Glad you had a good time though.

Gwar live is the shit. I've seen them 3 times and it's a bloodbath everytime. Went and saw the Zombie show last night, was pretty good. Glad you had a good time at the show adrenaline.
