Keep in mind that at present this is an emotional issue. The passage of time is followed by a concommitant hardening and resilience, allowing the situation to be seen more clearly. This prevents reason from being drowned out by misguided emotion. The photographers have done a wonderful service in providing these photos for posterity, study, and appreciation. Although the photos may create angst for some at the ephemeral moment (and feigned outrage among the sanctimonious), those of us who are more reflective--and appreciative of history--applaud those who boldly strode forward to make these photos possible. Wouldn't we all be fascinated by photos of Marie Antoinette on her execution day, had only technology made this possible? The answer, as we pant while wringing our hands, is a resounding "Absolutely!" These photos are a premium mixture of history as well as freedom of information, further peppered with a bit of voyeurism and schadenfreude; in regard to these photos the latter two categories are wherein emotion properly takes the stage--not in feigned outrage or grief. Let us thank the photographers for nobley performing their jobs, and respect the publishers for couragously making them accessible.

if you are talking about photos of princess diana then no i don't want to see them, there is such a thing as privacy that someone if they want it they should be allowed to it. And the issue you should be discussing is how should the people be punished that took them and tried to capitalize on a family's tragedy.

she chose the manner of her death, if not the time, but her choice of friends and lifestyle. I am not sure what the pictures add to that, other than, maybe, as a very strong warning to PUT YOUR SEATBELT ON PROPERLY

just my two cents worth here ... not speaking for others ... be it far from me to deny "freedom of speech/expression" .

personally , i would not care to generally/informally peruse the pictures of the death of a person ("famous" or not) and the trappings thereof . attempting to intentionally make money from a death scenario (on any level) demonstrates an incredible lack of respect and honor .

forensic study/work ... establishing the facts in order to comfort family , bring a criminal to justice or to bring about a change in safety procedures is another matter ... these ARE matters of honor and respect .
i have been involved with this area in a limited capacity .

If you need to see people dead become an undertaker.

As far as Marie Antoinette they had artist back then. Photos are just quick and takes less physical talent.

I say sue the photographers and Publishers!!!!!
