A friend who passed away a few years ago left me a Luger he picked up while he was in Germany during WWII. The firing pin is missing and the lock to keep the magazine in was removed but other than that the pistol looks to be in good condition. Anyone know the first steps to restoring a weapon like this to working condition?
First I would get a manual on how to take it apart then you can look at this site and see what you need http://www.e-gunparts.com/productsch...odel=3230zP-08
Have an expert look at it, a gunsmith etc. If its missing parts, then it may be in worse shape than you think. The last thing you want is a round missfiring in the chamber. I take it it's a 9mm. Watch out with dust & dirt with them, they dont respond well.
