I have some technical documents a buddy burned to a CD. He checked to make sure the CD would open (used his desktop comp). I have the CD and can't get the CD to work at all. When placed in the drive, the thing spins and then a message to "insert a disk" appears.
I've looked at the disk and it appears to have the material on it. Gave it back to my buddy and it opens right up, without any problems, on his desktop. What's up with this? I'd like to use my stuff, but can't access it. The documents are in PDF.

Rep for you! Thank you for the direction. I don't think the linked issue is my problem. The burned CD doesn't show in the CD drive; however, I can play other CD's/DVD's after I eject the unrecognized one.
Maybe it's best to get the materials from him and burn what I want to a CD on my computer. Looks like there might be some kind of formatting issue or something.
