Disproving Obama Nation
I have not read the Obama Nation book, mostly due to the fact it is written by a right wing nut-job, and I can pretty much assume it was moslty BS anyways. But, for those of you who have, you owe it to yourself to read this 41 page .pdf that disputes the truthfulness of the book.
I have a flight to Vegas tomorrow and plan to read the pdf en route, and will be happy to discuss the differences between the book and this document, if anyone cares to. link to .pdf http://www.politico.com/static/PPM1...nfit_cover.html |
Re: Disproving Obama Nation
How is it that you can discuss the differences between the book and the pdf disputing the book when all you are planning on reading is latter?
Or is your real intention to just parrot the Obama campaign's talking points disputing this book? |
Re: Disproving Obama Nation
Exactly what I was thinking BDJ.
You read the counter-argument without reading the actual argument? Can I assume then that the counter-argument was written by a left-wing nut job? |
Re: Disproving Obama Nation
You two are intolerable. Distort my original intentions by calling my an Obama lover if you like, the quotes they disprove are in the .pdf. Either discuss it or shut the fuck up, damn.

Re: Disproving Obama Nation
Well, we know that at least one 'lie' is nothing of the sort. Elite private schools can run from 5-40,000 dollars a year. If they had not sent him to said elite private school, they could have easily been well-off if it were towards the latter scale, which is what the original writer claims.

Re: Disproving Obama Nation
Seriously. You are one piece of work FattyJJ.
I HAVE been reading The Obama Nation, and if YOU were to read the first 10 fucking pages, your entire thread can be shot to shit. Jerome Corsi (the author) is not endorsing, promoting or even VOTING for John McCain. He is voting for Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party. He has included over 600 footnotes in his book. Unlike most democrats, he actually BACKS UP WHAT THE FUCK HE SAYS! Many left wing nut swallowers (like yourself) like to discredit him by tying him to the Swift Boat conspirators. 1. They weren't conspirators, but witnesses given a voice. And 2. Jerome Corsi was not part of the swift boat veterans, he was the WRITER/ACADEMIAN THAT BROUGHT THEIR STORY TO PRINT! Why in the fuck would you even start a thread about a book you haven't even READ in the first place? :duh: Any other topics you have no fucking clue about that you want to start a discussion on? Let me help you: "How to use common sense" "What I learned from LIFE and NOT in a classroom, on a TV or some fudgepacking left wing news source" "Thinking for oneself" "How to contribute to society without your head up your ass" Keep stinking up the internet with teh gay fucktard :hay: |
Re: Disproving Obama Nation
You know, I was not going to read the book at all. I did not care.
And YaMOn and I often disagree in many areas and even argue too much. But after seeing his post, I may have to read the book. If YaMon is this into it, it must have something to offer. I will read the disputes AFTER I read the book, as I do not want to ramble on about something I do not know about! (always a 1st time!!!!!). |

Werd nigga. For my next thread, I will be discussing the similarities and differences between the Lord of The Rings books and movies without having seen or read both. Fuck you if you think I'm wrong you intolerable douchebags. |
Re: Disproving Obama Nation
I have read neither the book nor the refuting notes; however, I must applaud juan for being environmentally sensitive by picking a reuseable douche bag and not a disposable douche. The plastic lasts forever....... :)

Re: Disproving Obama Nation
Well, I wasn't going to even post anything in this thread but I guess I will do so now... sorry FattyJJ, but the above posters are sort of right. I mean I probably won't read either, the book or the pdf, but I certainly wouldn't make a thread about not reading one or the other---that's just inviting criticism and people like the gay Republican (Yamon) :hay: talking shit. As for the book, most people who read books such as this are only reading said books to reinforce their beliefs about the subject, and give them reassurance that their views are right in their eyes.
By the way, some of the "footnotes" that are mentioned at the end of the book, are of the author quoting himself :duh: , and other gems from right wing bloggers, hardly credible sources  . |

I love how disapproving of a union supporting, economically socialist rookie politician for the highest political seat in the United States, if not the world, defaults one to a "gay republican". You haven't read either the book or the PDF, but you can attest to footnotes not being credible? Hmmmmmm. Douche away mon freire. Douche away. |
Re: Disproving Obama Nation
Nope haven't read it like I said, but I'm just pointing out what has been said in the news. They have highlighted the two examples I gave on several news shows, with visual proof by showing actual "footnotes" in the book. I only assume you are Republican because I have never, never seen you say one thing good about any Democrat. I also have never seen you say anything bad about the current President, or any of the Republican members of congress--so naturally I just assume you're Republican. I guess you could be an Independent, but somehow I doubt that.
As I already stated though, people who read these kinds of books already have their minds made up about the person being profiled in the book--so this book will only reinforce your beliefs about Obama. Later babycakes. |
Re: Disproving Obama Nation
I know it's been said, but in all seriousness, I don't know how it is possible for someone to even try to dispute something they haven't even read. I mean, you may or may not agree with someone's overall politics, but in no way can you just say someone is lying about something when you haven't even read the quotes that may or may not be out of context. I'm sure everyone knows who I'm siding for politically right now, but in all honesty, FattyJJ, it doesn't help anyone's cause to blindly argue with someone else's points without first understanding what the person's points actually are.
