Need WinDVD and a good anti-virus
 

Hey good folks over at the geek forums (Drk....are u still around)

I am looking for a working copy of WinDVD (need this on my home laptop where I have enough space to rip DVD's and I want to play them off the HD)

Also un-istalled the trial McAfee that came with the Dell and so need to find something that works. Any ideas (or a link, wink - wink!!). Is AVG any good?

Yeah I am still around buddy. So you need some stuff? Well AVG is ok if you want free but I would go with McAfee. I will upload it for you and WinDvd I need to see if I got the newest version. If not I will get and send it your way. Just give me a few to get it all done for you.

I knew I could count on you man....last night I ventured too deep into Googling for these two (on my office laptop protected by McFee) and ended up on several sites where my virus scanner screamed like hell, the moment I tired d/ling any thing.....thank God I didn't go there on my new home laptop !!!! phew

Hi DD....long time! I have (I think) the latest version of WinDVD. Be careful dude, there's a NEW Trojan Horse that's going around. 1 out of 5 computers have it. IF you get it most Anti-Spam & Anti-Virus software can't get rid of it. It even disguises itself as a Anti-Virus program. It infects your system32, reg, IE extensions, dll, files. Go to "Yahoo Answers" & type About AntiVirus2008 Here's a cap of my Win DVD! :cool:

WinAvi is a great easy program to use grab that DD and get that pc protected
