My life is rolling into a ball of BS
 

Many of you know I've been going through a divorce; this process has been going on for quite some time. I am scheduled to have my final divorce hearing tomorrow (7/15) at 1030 EST. :) Today, I meet with my attorney and he tells me I'm probably NOT going to get this completed at tomorrows court hearing. :usuck:

Apparently, the idiot I married hasn't completed ANY of the items required of her in our agreement. My attorney will ask for another EXTENSION to see if she can get this S%#T right. It's been 22 months; why can't I have this lesion removed from me???

BTW, she's supposed to get remarried next Thursday. Now, I guess that'll be off. Oh, and the money she's supposed to pay me the last two months has been spent on, quote, "more important things", unquote. Some of those "important things" include her bailing the new guys ass outa jail last month for a Criminal Domestic Violence charge related to his ex, and paying some big fee to have his monitoring ankle bracelet removed early (maybe so they can go on the honeymoon??).

This is like having a very bad case of multi-drug resistant jock itch.... :ugh:

Well... look on the bright side... His criminal domestic violence will eventually be used on her.

Maybe you & your attorney are being too nice and not making the right demands? Change things up so when she doesn't meet the required deadlines the judgment goes against her.

Maybe when in Court, you can ask What the Money she was supposed to pay You, was actually used for?

Maybe ask the Judge to Fine Her Every day fro not getting her paperwork done.

ask the Judge to have her restricted to her home and work, and no where else, until she gets the paperwork done.

Ask the Judge to find in favor of you, she gets Zilch.

Yeah, I'll check into these lines; I'm just ready to end this BS. Hell, it's went on for 22 months. What does it take to get out of this?? I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone!

Find a lawyer who's an @SSHOLE. You don't want a nice guy. An @SSHOLE lawyer would have taken care of this already.

Today, my attorney did a great job. In the few minutes before our entry into the courtroom, he was able to swing the deal from heaven: every outstanding issue would be corrected in the agreement. I got everything I wanted, which really wasn't very much.

Also, the judge read her the riot act about not meeting previous requirements and made it clear further problems would result in contempt of court charges. Sweet.......

I guess it helped that she needed to get this divorce completed today because she's getting remarried next Thursday. HAHAHAHA Apparently, time worked in my favor!! Good riddance!

My attorney is a former family court judge, so I was hoping he knew the ins/outs of the divorce court system.

I'm just glad this woman and her mental illness are out of my life.

It really took me awhile to recover from dealing with her mental issues. It was hell. In the end, I learned alot about me and relationships. I just wish the learning wasn't from the school of hard knocks.
