Excellent idea to force lurkers to start posting...what you've done is taken a decreased bandwidth due to excessive lurking and turned your forums into piles of useless posts in order to jack up their post count. Oh wait, that would assume that your forums were useful before...

What you fail to recognize is how insignificant this place is...how easily it can be replaced by the tons of lurkers who noticed their porn stash suddenly vanished. There are hundreds of forums just like this whose mods don't spend most of their time pointing out lurkers. Even when someone starts posting to join in the community discussions, they're met with the same angst and general bitchiness for life and everyone not an "all-powerful" mod on their forums. Good luck getting your ads clicked with that attitude.
