Re: Obama Nomics and his "CHANGE" campaign

Not personally attack me??? Calling me a 12 year old is not an attack? You tried to be subtle, and I am sure you will try to deny it.
but now a new one.... Pompous Ass Clown!! ooh, I better be careful of offending you.
Please, explain to me where I called you a name??

As for my comment about you not working, you said you where a Poor college student, So I wrongly assumed you did not have a job. But the fact you are greatly insulted, ehh, too bad. (had you not started the name calling, I would have apologized)

But, I also do not feel for you, since you show your feelings about athletes having an opportunity and wasting it, "Idiots that opt out of college after the first year" really seems to show you look down on people. Even though you do not think you do.
(I already know you look down on me).

Although it is true that college degrees will aid in getter better jobs and better pay, does not guarantee it and is Uncle Sam runs it, it will have strings. Including previously mentioned criteria of classes and eventually grades required for the school to get payed. (No child left behind kind of crap).
Now, maybe the reality of No Child left behind is not working, but the idea was a good one.

As for working, I too was working as a teen. I started at 14 doing menial labor, and then changed jobs at 17. I learned lots of things, and mostly it was that I did not want that kind of work. I joined the Navy at 19 and got some great technical training and a start on my life. Saw the world and learned a wonderful amount of how spoiled we Americans are. It is great!

And I ALWAYS care how my money is being spent, so I research the people running so I do no vote for "pieces of shit" to waste my "TAXES"

(yes, I said it again, and I used Caps, and I used BOLD and I even underlined it. hope you do not cry too much over that one).

Re: Obama Nomics and his "CHANGE" campaign

OK you guys have each had a chance to take your personal shots & wander off topic...let's try to keep it friendly & on topic from here on out please.

Seeing as how the original poster started off with a statement fearing increased taxes and one candidate's perceived tendency to change his stated positions rather frequently, these would be the thread topics to address.

EDIT BDJ: Come on man, I told you to play nice & stay on topic.

This post I just edited did neither.

Keep it cool in here PLEASE, or I have to be an asshole nazi mod & I don't want to go there, especially with good, contributing members.

You have each had your personal shots & I let you get away with it...now get back on topic or stop posting in this thread.

Re: Obama Nomics and his "CHANGE" campaign

Well, I think that Senator McCain had a very good Speech. He did not name call or over slam Senator Obama, and he did say he would reduce Government, reduce taxes and help the country become energy independent.

And as a side note - Does anyone know why Senator Obama Said he could have this country 100% energy dependent in 10 years??? Because if he where to win the next two elections, that would cover 8, and when his promise did not happen, he would not have to pay the price. Sounds like Politic BS to me.

I think that NoBama is a bigger liar then McCain.
But that is just the opinion of a P.A.C.

Yeah the speech was fairly good, considering McCain's inability to be a good speaker, I was pretty surprised. However, I thought Palin's speech was better, mind you I disagree with virtually everything that each of them are for, but Palin is a much better speaker. I have never heard anything about the whole ten year plan of energy independence, so you'll have to give me some proof on this. I know Gore has recently stated such a plan, maybe you're referring to this? As much as I would love to think this could be possible, it's not and anyone thinking it is is simply delusional--that includes Gore.

As far as the whole Obama versus McCain in a lying contest, I could give several sources and articles that disprove your statement, but I won't because you'll probably dismiss them anyway. And this is the serious forum right, I've only busted out the McBush phrase on one post I believe, and haven't used it since have I? The Nobama phrase has no place in this part of the forum. What does P.A.C. stand for, political action committee? Because if that's the case, they are the most divisive, extreme groups in politics today, so I really could care less about what they say--on either side of the aisle.

When it comes down to it, you and I are very different politically to say the least, and neither of us are not going to convince the other of anything when it comes to politics. That being said, I still will continue to post articles, and try to stir up discussion on various subjects, not just about politics--I also like to post the pron too!

Re: Obama Nomics and his "CHANGE" campaign

Well, at least we do agree on one thing, we will not convice each other that the other is wrong.

as for Obama's 10 year plan, he stated in his Acceptance speech he would have the US "energy Independent" in 10 years.

As for P.A.C. - I am referring to your name calling of me as a Pompous Ass Clown.

Yes, I believe Obama is lying. But he is a politician, and the for LIES.
Just like McCain does.

Yes, Governor Palin is a far better speaker then senator McCain.

also, as far as lying, Senator Obama misstepped today, accusing Senator McCain of conducing hateful attacks against him, during his acceptance speech.
He also accused Senator McCain of not giving any kind of plan for his tenure.
Now, Maybe Obama thought that no one watch the Republican convention, but McCain Never attacked Obama near as hard as Obama attack Senator McCain. And he even complemented him.
As for not giving specifics, he did. So I do not know where Obama was coming from or why he was lying so.

Does not really matter, since we are both very much on opposite sides.

And I believe the NoBama phrase does have a a place here. JuSt like one you can come up with for Senator McCain (the man with real experience)
