This is a larger example to the bully situation. When a kid in school is bullied and he has a choice to make, standing up for himself may result in his ass being beaten, but it also usually ends with the situation getting better after that. Giving in and paying the lunch money is what you'd rather us do? For how long? I say we act now and shoot them the bird.

When the bully has the kid up against the wall with a knife at his throat, his best action is to hand over his lunch money so he can get away. Then make a plan to get back at the bully.
It's not just fuel for your car that's at stake. Everything. EVERYTHING. From food production to transportation to manufacturing is dependent on oil. This summer's rising prices has put us in a very bad situation. Can you imagine ourselves in 2 years with double those prices?
If you have a plan, i'd love to hear it. Nationalize the oil companies, perhaps? It will never happen.
