Actually, I was brought up on Schmidt's of Philadelphia(1859-1987) from about age 3 or 4 (can't remember if grandpop gave me any of his beer before then). Beer has been brewed in Philly since the 1600's. The first lager in America was brewed in Philly back in 1840. I suppose they had to open a factory brewery in Pottsville to keep up with all the drunken coal miners back then. I never heard anything on Yuengling until a couple years ago when it became popular for a short time. Lately, I've been drinking Mike's hard lemmon aid or Rolling Rock. I'm really a hard liquor fan. When it comes to OP's beer, I'll drink anything if it's cold enough. |
