House of Leaves

the hype around it was better than the book itself

Re: What are you reading?

Only Revolutions

Same author as House of Leaves. Both books attempt to come off as overly clever and groundbreaking, end up being more confusing and annoying than anything.

Re: What are you reading?

Wow,no one has posted here in a while,so here goes.Just finished the fourth Jason Bourne novel, "The Bourne Betrayal". I was surprised that I enjoyed it greatly,as it was written by Eric Vonlustbader, for an author that that gets explicit with sexual passages and there are many in his ninja series, he kept to Ludlows' style very well imo.

Re: What are you reading?

The Tales of Beedle the Bard

The new book from the Harry Potter universe. The stories are good and a bit thought provoking. Provide some insight into what happened and why within the series. It's a shame the book is so short... doesn't even take an hour.

Re: What are you reading?

Babylon Babies. It's the book for the Vin Diesel movie called Babylon A.D.

So far I like it, and I'm about 2/3rds done.

Re: What are you reading?

The Post-American World, written by Fareed Zakaria editor of Newsweek International. Not really what it sounds like, but rather about the incredibly growing economies of China, India and other countries and what America's place will be. Very good so far, and I'm about 60 pages from the end.

Re: What are you reading?

Almost finished with one called Category 7. About a hurricane man made and targeted at New York City.

A surprisingly good read.
