job opportunity
not sure if this is the right place to post this but....
got a chance to go to Rwanda for a job, does anyone has horror stories/success stories from working overseas. i have not gotten all the info on the job so i am not packing my bags yet. duration is not confirmed, neither is pay or days off. just wondering if anyone out there has travelled to work in other countries

I spent 20+years in the Navy, and have known a munber of guys who work for those kinds of firms.
Good pay, good benefits, and they can be good employers.
Make sure you call around and talk to some of their other employees. It is not uncommon for them to hessitate on firmly quoting you a salary, but it sounds like such is common among international and non-taxed salaried jobs.
I was offered a job with Aramco, on a 2 year revolving contract making stupid money [$80k/year] but you only get paid at the end of the term in one paycheck. You get paid overseas and it is up to you how you are going to try and smuggle that money back stateside. Since you cant bring it home, most just spend it all in Europe and come home broke.
