FMB, whilst I like Guinness, I prefer a different brew from the same brewer, Smithwicks (properly pronounced Smitticks for you Yankees), or a Stella Artois poured in the proper manner in the right glass (I prefer the stemed variety for Stella).
Fortunately, both are Labatt's products in Canada, imported for our local consumption. Labatt's used to try making all their beers locally, but found out that doesn't work when nobody thought the Ontario brewed Kokanee tasted like Kokanee. You need that glacial water to brew Kokanee after all.
"Old conservative views" aren't a bad thing. There is a reason we have a constitution to begin with, you know?
It irritates me that people call the Constitution conservative. Old, certainly, but it is the MOST radical and liberal(in the actual sense of the word, not the modern post '60s version) governmental system in place anywhere in the world today. Moreover, it allows for direct change in a well-structured way to it's very foundation if that change is seen as radically needed. Just because the general population has their heads stuck up their asses vis a vis it's actual meaning is no fault of it's and more directly a fault of the degradation of education in this country over the past century or so.
You mean the congress currently controlled by the democrats?
Yep. I've noticed there are very few Dems out championing the cause for raising taxes. Why? 'Cause I'd remember and vote 'em out in the next election. BTW, I'm a Republican, but have been known to vote Democrat if I think the candidate will do a good job.

Ah... Stella Artois! I haven't had one of those in about two months. I'll have one tonight when I go out.

Yes, after two centuries, the document is still an extremely radical piece of paper, as far as government organization goes. Maybe it's time for all of us to pick up a book or two and do a little review. Where is my copy of The Federalist Papers??
(invoking a BOTH reply) He looks very close to being a Zombie... I cant vote for that... he is going to stroke out in office.
back to serious.. I was not aware he had two sons currently in the military.. but my guess would be along the lines of the other responses.. he probably shot down all those bills because of the "pork"
but.. Your next president also shot down a # of ( non miltary ) bills in somewhat the same fashion, he didnt vote them down but basically sent them back to be reviewed I believe.. or something to the like.
less than 100 days correct?
and please.. can mccains tv ads get any worse? it seems the old man is really diggin his own grave here..
I have yet to see any ads... that being said, I think I know how I'm going to vote so... yeah.
and I don't watch tv... not even an hours worth so I really haven't seen any, I could go on youtube but forget that.
Licu and Krasch: I have Yuengling beer in my fridge; it's from the our oldest brewery and is very good. Also, I have a SINGLE Guinness in the bottom of the fridge; if ya'll don't want a Yuengling, the last one standing gets the Guinness!!
Actually, I was brought up on Schmidt's of Philadelphia(1859-1987) from about age 3 or 4 (can't remember if grandpop gave me any of his beer before then). Beer has been brewed in Philly since the 1600's. The first lager in America was brewed in Philly back in 1840. I suppose they had to open a factory brewery in Pottsville to keep up with all the drunken coal miners back then. I never heard anything on Yuengling until a couple years ago when it became popular for a short time. Lately, I've been drinking Mike's hard lemmon aid or Rolling Rock. I'm really a hard liquor fan. When it comes to OP's beer, I'll drink anything if it's cold enough.

IN 52 SECS WHY BARACK OBAMA CANNOT WIN A GENERAL ELECTION
Three cheers for YaMon. He is (Obama) really naive when it comes to foreign policy. Jezzzzz Man, the Missile Defence Program has been one of the few successes of the Bush Administration that most people can agree on!!! I remember when they said it could'nt be done. China has satellites that can destroy other satellites.......we don't have to. We can fire a missile & hit almost anything in orbit. What's Obama going to do, spend $$$$ to retro-fit the 30 or so U.S. Navy ships equipped to fire these missiles????? Will that make us safer???? No wonder every enemy we have wants him to win.....makes you think!!!
Oh, I heard Russia invaded Georgia today, but I've yet to see any troops. .............
A Russian fighter jet attacks a Georgian position near the city of Tskhinvali, 100 km (62 miles) from Tbilisi, August 8, 2008.
A column of Russian armored vehicles, headed towards the breakaway republic of South Ossetia's capital Tskhinvali, is seen in North Ossetia, Russia, Friday, Aug. 8, 2008.

Yeap, seems like the Russians want their cake & eat it too. When they had a "break-away republic", they called them terrorist & we supported them. Now when Georgia has the samething......Russia supports the rebels! There just flexing their new found muscles. (Oil Money) Only thing, I think we have U.S. military advisers there. This could get serious IF some American's get hurt or killed.
In any case I've got my full choke 12ga shotgun ready....lol..lol!!!

What that video was designed to do was to win the democratic nomination by sucking up to the hard left wingers.
Congratulations. That wins primaries. But that won't do shit for Obama with the majority of Americans when it comes to a general election courting people that prefer America to be a dominant military power and global leader on the wolrd stage.
Let Obama be president of the EU. Let the adults run America.
This should be Omama's theme song:
Look into my eyes, what do you see?
Cult of personality
I know your anger, I know your dreams
Ive been everything you want to be
Im the cult of personality
Like mussolini and kennedy
Im the cult of personality
Cult of personality
Cult of personality
Neon lights, a nobel prize
The mirror speaks, the reflection lies
You dont have to follow me
Only you can set me free
I sell the things you need to be
Im the smiling face on your t.v.
Im the cult of personality
I exploit you still you love me
I tell you one and one makes three
Im the cult of personality
Like joseph stalin and gandi
Im the cult of personality
Cult of personality
Cult of personality
Neon lights a nobel prize
A leader speaks, that leader dies
You dont have to follow me
Only you can set you free
You gave me fortune
You gave me fame
You me power in your gods name
Im every person you need to be
Im the cult of personality

I think Yuengling started their brewery in 1829. The beer is very good; I've been drinking this brand for quite awhile.

I am not surprised the Soviets (I've NEVER called 'em Russians) have used a wide variety of weapons against the much smaller, more conventionally equipped sovereign Georgia. The Soviets have established a blockade of Georgia in the Black Sea, used strategic bombers, and ballistic missiles against the much smaller, extremely less armed country.
This is an opportunity for the Soviets to show off the above listed weapons and their ability to utilize them. For over a decade, this country was a "has been"; now, with their coffers strengthened with petrodollars, they have rebuilt their air force, navy, and within the last year, resumed strategic bomber recon flights in the artic (ala Cold War..).
