Re: Does anyone have advice for this odd question?

Many moons ago, smack dab in the middle of my drug career, I started to have some of the problems of which you speak, man2. I was over-analyzing every aspect of my social interaction. I had trouble with eye contact. I would rehash conversations I had earlier and cringe at some of the things I said or should've said. Plus, all sorts of other minutiae. It got to the point where I started avoiding social situations altogether. What I eventually discovered was that I had all the symptoms of depression. Now, like I said earlier I was doing alot of drugs at the time which probably exasperated things, but I had these problems in some form or the other for a good while. I told my doc what was up and he prescribed Zoloft. It really helped with the social stuff, even with the very small daily dose (50mg).

I'm not saying you are depressed or anything. Just telling ya how I dealt with it. Good luck dude.

Re: Does anyone have advice for this odd question?

Well it probably won't help any but I'm 46 and I still have the same problem. So why are you still listening to me I obviously am not an expert? My wife says I am the only person she knows who can say "Hello" and piss someone off.
My main fault is I try to fit in. I am not exactly sure how to fit in so I talk to a person the way they seem to be acting and I piss them off. My other fault is that I see very few topics so taboo they can't even be talked about. Basically I will talk about almost anything.
All I can say is I feel your pain.
