Re: conspiracy?

I wouldn't call you a liberal whackjob, I just don't think you're right. And where do you get I don't accept opposing viewpoints? I read the NYT everyday, a liberal newspaper, not to mention a whole lot of other articles and liberal blog sites just to get the opposing viewpoints and then formulate my own opinions, which happen to be conservative (and I might add a lot more conservative than a lot of GWB's policies). Just because I don't think the opposing viewpoint is right, doesn't mean I don't take it into account to formulate an opinion.

As far as keeping too much information from the public, we are at war. Providing information to the public also provides information to the enemy. FDR, a democratic patron saint kept more information from the public than probably any other president in order to win WWII. And for the record, I don't think he was wrong to do so.

Re: conspiracy?

The "inability to accept apposing viewpoints" remark was a joke. I was merely referencing the "standard conservative" reply and what would be my "standard liberal" comeback, which is why I added the flamewar comment.

Actually, so far I've been fairly impressed with comments you've made. Its not very often I get to have an actual discussion with someone with a conservative viewpoint, most of the time it quickly downspirals to "shut up you stupid bastard" levels complete with accusations of communism and lack of patriotism.

Anyway, enough ass-kissing from me.
