sounds kinda bogus, but if it's true that sounds like a BIG sign of her asking for help. usually people try to hide that stuff but for her to ask you to be around and nap with her and then come out and actually show you her cuts and scars sounds like a huge cry for help. If you're ok with telling her parents, do so. or at least try to get her to see a dr or psychiatrist

I agree with the others that the fact that she is looking for some help. She obviously was trying to get the two of you into a situation where she could expose that side of her and get some interaction from you without just leaning across the table at breakfast and saying, "So, yeah, I cut myself when I get really down."

Give her whatever help you can, especially trying to get her to go for professional help, even if it starts with talking to her GP about it. However, I would strongly advise against a relationship with her. You'll be the one to carry both of you in the relationship and you'll get entangled in an unhealthy situation that you won't have the skills to solve.

WOW...but yea I agree with just about everyone, don't pursue a relationship with her, just be a good friend and help her through her "hard times"

I disagree. Run from her. I work in Health Care and deal with psychiatric patients almost daily. They will suck the life out of you if you let them. You will be living your life to help her. And whatever you do it will never be enough. she will always need more.
