VPN Question

question for you experts out there.....
our company is moving to a VPN system for those of us who work outside of the corporate office.
When we connect to the VPN, will our administrator have access to see what websites I am viewing? They haven't had that capability in the past just because we weren't really connected to the corporate office before. Not really worried, but could be a pain since I usually look around on ebay during my lunch break.

Re: VPN Question

As for going through a VPN, it's good for connecting up to the office and work from home. As for seeing what websites you view, yes, they can see what sites you've been on if they have something implemented for that. Since it's a company, I wouldn't be surprised. They usually do whatever they can to increase productivity. So in otherwords, they could potentially see any sites you view within your VPN session, however outside the VPN session, all is good. As long as you aren't surfing porn over the company VPN, i'd say it's probably safe to check out stuff on eBay. If in doubt, just do it on your own time.
